@Eoin41 and @Eoin41!! I agree with some of you but not all of you!! Indeed the technique is shoddy and incredibly sloppy in places however only a pure moron would try and "shovel" with a sledgehammer such as a woman or a mongoloid!! Instead next time, attempt this technique with a gun or IED for much better results! :-)
I tried your Shovel technique and was appalled when instead of a hole I started to pummel the grass!! Please reshoot video to show correct results of "shovel" technique!!
HUGE tip guys!! Watch how close to her legs that hammer comes on most of those lower swings... When you do this WATCH the crap out! If you hit your shin or anything while winging a hammer... Well yeah I am not gonna say what happens. She developed a skill for it so if your just learning WATCH DEM LEGS! :P
One of the toughest workouts - no kidding! I've made this workout a regular part of my weekly fitness protocol. I've bragged up this workout to the point my wife bought her own sledgehammer and we now do this workout together. Autumn, you kicked every guy's butt on YouTube when it comes to a sledgehammer workout that works! This workout has been one of the key elements to my weight loss (62 lbs this year). I look forward to the day I start shopping prices on a 20-pound sledgehammer! Thank you!
Thanks so much for this video, Autumnlynn, it's brilliant! Although I have Chronic Fatigue, I'm going to get the lightest sledgehammer I can find, and just try to build up the exercises a tiny bit at a time.l
Just read somewheres that this is how actor Robert Downey Jr packed on muscle weight for the sequel to his Iron Man franchise. Went from 151 lbs to 171 lbs. Supposedly used 2lb. 4lb on up to 20lb sledgehammers. Not sure of his specific routine though.
@thecrowrains you read wrong. he did all kinds of stuff that is not "normal" for gym rats, but sledgehammers were a very small part of his overall routine. sledgehammer workouts are great for when you get bored with regular weight routines, but nothing beats normal weight lifting equipment for hypertrophy with their ability to offer continual progressive resistance.
One of the best videos I've seen on sledge hammer workouts. I don't know of any other videos that are as thorough and diverse. New swings, a very nice cool down and stretching at the end...the lack of which is why most people feel very sore and tight after this routine. I'd suggest a 20 minute jog, recumbent bike, treadmill or any type of easy cardio to drain the lactic acid that you would build up after an intense workout like this. Thank you very much Autumn!
Good variety of functional excerises and not just tire hitting. Judging from your upward rather than bent over posture in swing at the tire I would say you have real world experience with the tool. Quite creative and much better than most other hammer videos. It is good to see a thoughtful sledge hammer workout.
Oh hai! Have you considered the Fat Blast Furnace (google it)? Ive heard some incredible things about it and my work buddy burned a ton of weight.

I agree with Eoin41's below statement!! I am now the unhappy owner of not a hole in my yard but a crater!! Will you compensate me for this??
