tom welling is above anyone else for this part. particularly in relation to henry cavill. tom portrays the honesty and integrity, flawlessly, that makes superman, well, super. and he looks exactly as superman should. it does not matter who is directing or producing this film. yes, even if it was spielberg himself. without tom welling it will be an utter flop. but, hey, maybe after the second superman flop, someone in hollywood might actually start paying attention to us, the paying public.
No no noooooooo!! People don't want this movie to be tied to the Smallville TV show. If they want to make him Superman, have spinoff show called Metropolis or something. He had ten seasons to be near the role, isn't that enough?

I think Tom would be a great Superman in the 2013 Superfriends movie.
