Nah titans require Capital Ship level 5, which in turn needs adv. spaceship command 5, which in turn needs Spaceship command 5. That alone is about a year. Then you have the learning skills if you are starting a new account. Then the energy management skills, the doomsday, the logistics mods, and all the other good stuff a titan has and does. Its probably more like a 2 year training project.
Make sure you have superb gunnery skills and energy management skills before you strap on the zealot. The Guardian is a great ship to have at hand, I named mine Koshiir Ra. If anyone gets the reference, then you are awesome.
Its never too late to start up eve. What CCP is doing these days is making it easier for newer charecters to be good at the game while giving the older charecters new ships.
ive been playing the game for 3 years and just recently decided to grab a command ship. I already had all the neccessary skills except for BattleCrusier LVL 5. It is a good command ship but like all other ships in eve, it has its purpose. No one ship can be the best at everything.
Yeah , this game is really huge , I was stunned when I saw that it takes 2 days to train a skill...and a friend of mine told me that he was training a skill that needs 17 days...holy shit !
Yeah, the first month is rather boring, the second sometimes too, but once you got a ship with some BFG's (Say in my case a Megathron Navy Issue) you can go fuck up people >:D
I had all my tier 1 learning skills to lvl5 and the tier 2 ones to lvl 4. The older charecters were boned by CCP by giving the relatively newer charecters higher attributes. In short i didnt want to spend the 600mil at the time for +5 implants in perception and willpower.

I trained Carrier LvL 5 which equals about 90 days, and thats just getting it to lvl5, not including lvls 1,2,3, and 4
