  • Compare this to Justin Beiber (Beaver).

  • can't believe how many haters...

  • To you negative folks, your inability and jealousy is showing. This man is a master and you are slugs. You don't deserve to have ears.

  • The haters think they are so right and justified while they don't even have the marginal mentality and skill of Lang Lang....

    May god bless them.

  • bravissimo!!

  • ...he plays this like he was not interested in the music of Mozart at all, like he was only trying to DEMONSTRATE something to this Proms(?) audience...demonstrate what?...that he can produce, on demand, the semblance of the "classicist" dry sound?...anything else?..

  • Where was this performed?

  • he moves around too much in his seat.i always thought that when your playing classical music your supposed to stay calm and not move around too much

  • I don't understand why he often rises his fingers when they are not playing, and having a shallow touch. That's a wrong way to play classical music. You must feel every note in deep! It's wrong just to play every note and pulse correct!

  • @SuperFlute10 Funny how you are the authority on piano playing all of a sudden.

  • come on.. he played nice

  • A lot of haters, really means that he's actually one of the best if not the best.

  • I regard this man as a disaster in art.

  • dingtou5 Everybody can have "interpretations", even shoe maker, there is talking about real professionalism. What I hear is nightmare by lung lang, there is no any musician in former soviet union, including conservatory professors, who does not agree with this opinion, I taught in America as a professor piano department, in america everything is possible as soon as there is advertisement, I have never seen as cheap and vulgar approach towards classical music, as americans have.

  • Real musicians understand that lang lang is fraud, still how he gets so much bizarre around him not understandable. Recently I went to Louis Lortie's recital, It was excellent and very profound performance of Liszt's Annes. Why there is not such a noise about him? Any time I hear somebody on radio banging hell, it turns out either lang lang, or yuja rtc, Forgot name.

  • @liana563 Lang Lang has his own interpretations. Some "real" musicians, think these interpretations are different and not at all bad.

  • Uchida and Lang Lang..hmmm...I prefer Lang Lang interpretation, personally

  • Where was this performed?

  • nice...just nice. i recommend Mitusko Uchida personally.

  • @kyleclef I agree, Uchida is superb and is the doyen of Mozart interpreters...

  • I like Lang Lang playing...his expressions...I love that.

  • @supermariozaken BOO!!!

  • Far behind Horowitz's version......while he was aged 80 or more !!!

  • He plays the piano, not Mozart.

  • ... im playing this song for my piano exam. now im really scared :\

  • @apforeverrx im playing for national piano competition

  • @dingtou5 Good luck to you on the competition!

  • @kcotsob thanks

  • It is always a pleasure watching Lang Lang play :)

  • Played exactly like Mozart should be: in a huge auditorium, with a large crowd, with lots of distracting hand gestures, letting the performer speak, rather than the music, and the facial expressions telling us that he is getting it straight from the composer, as he looks skyward.

  • Lang Lang is a ledgend ;-)

  • what are they all standing up for?...sit down...relax! lol

  • I think he is trying to teach pianist students in audience with his expression. It tells a lot, at least to me. I had a big help when I was watching his face and body movement when I was studying Fantasie Wanderer by Schubert. He is a great teacher!

  • this sounds amazing. lang lang is very willful, no doubt in his interpretation, but what an imaginatiion he possesses. his hair trigger reactions to the moment is what make this rendition so interestring. a master colorist; lang lang harkens back to the days of the golden age of piano...

  • I don't get his facial expression; but musically his playing is fine indeed.

  • this was awsome!:D

the best that i hv heard ever

    he is young i think:p

    but i loved him.V.

it seems that it is very easy when he play this

not in hurry, no presure on him

    that's a true pianist

ps:i think his facial expressions are so funny;P

  • but I dont want to hurt anybody!!! And I simply dont like his play very much.

  • for people who dislike langlang, ask yourself why is he famous and he is the one on the stage playing while you are merely an audience...im so sick of seeing people saying how he doesn't understand the meaning in the music under pretty much all of his videos on youtube... if youve been to his recital in person i ensure you its an experience that will blow your mind away.....

  • You know you're good when you get a standing ovation before starting the piece...

  • listen to Uchida, far better, Lang Lang is ok , but Uchida is no.1 for Mozart

  • @BassicStorm Uchida's Mozart's are nice, but too gentle, lack the energy offered by Lang.

  • @dasteufelhund looool cant agree

  • @BassicStorm how do you mean?

  • @dasteufelhund lol dude ur right! i was arrogant, Lang Lang played this great! i converted it to mp3 :D

  • The left hand gesture at 4:00 is quite epic :-D

  • stupid 7 people

  • No one can play Mozart as Mitsuko Uchida,,, this is just disgusting =(

  • His body language and his facial expressions are so artificial. It makes me sick.

  • @bachmaninoff That's a primitive mentality and there's no place for it in the modern world.

  • @InDarknessLight

There is no place for artificiality in the interpretation of ingenious music-- it speaks for itself.

  • Excellent, especially the ending, (4 people can't....aww forget it)

  • haha i love how at the end when he finishes playing everbody starts coughing like fuck

  • I highly envy you... seriously i have to play this for some retarded exam and like seriously FAIL compared to Lang Lang *sigh*

  • @Exsilvis All you have established is that Lang Lang doesn't interpret Mozart as a classicist. I would wager you haven't taken Schenkerian analysis; if you have, you would see the genius in the way he interprets the music forces inherent in Mozart's structure. To critique as you have fails to understand the way music develops over time. I was trained in a conservatory, and this is ok to my ear, it is full of impetuousness, yes. Do you hate Gould as well? What about Ebonics? Are you horrified?lol

  • eternal torment to does who dislike this. there shouldn.t even be a dislike button.

  • this piece is really awesome!

  • I thoroughly enjoyed this video. Lang Lang plays with such clarity, accuracy, tonal variation and lightness of touch that I am only filled with admiration and envy! My personal opinion is that the way we express any piece of music is OUR OWN interpretation or copied from someone else we heard. Has anyone ever questioned Mozart or Chopin or Bach or Beethoven as to exactly how their music should to be played? Have you heard them say which interpretation is best? I doubt it. Lang Lang is great.

  • @Exsilvis also, how do you know what Mozart would think of this? Are you Mozart?

  • @Exsilvis your response is incredibly vague. What do you mean by "TRADITION - style, elegance, sophistication, finesses", and how does he not display these traits? He certainly has his own style. He is sophisticated because he knows more about this music than you do. Thats why hes playing this piece in front of 6000 people. I'm sure hes studied it and practiced it a thousand more times than you have. He also has an elegant and sensitive touch, and plays each note with finesse.

  • A lovely sound! This young man's performance was most pleasantly entertaining. Thanks for posting this.

  • he plays better than me when he's using his pinky

  • Langlang is so damn suited for mozart.

  • @KantutJuice Totally agree. In fact I was thinking the same thing; then as I scrolled down, saw your comment. =)

  • I just discovered this and at the start I was thinking are there seriously crowds like that, that would go to a concert for one song? After finishing the video, I wanna god damn see him live.

  • The most sophisticated and technically correct pianist in the world today! Every note he plays tells the story of the song, the way the composer would have wanted.

  • @MrKALODIA

Mediocre is making comments like these without any justification. You don't give any parameter of what wouldn't be mediocre, or what's ideal to you. So, an 'empty' comment, just a cheap 'criticism' from someone who doesn't get to give any criticism at all because, well, I don't think you'd be less mediocre at playing this than he is... And I'd like to make it clear I'm not a Lang Lang fan, but he plays damn well. And playing the piano that well is NOT mediocre.

  • @MrKALODIA se questa è mediocre poi......

  • @hatsepsut85

  • I'm going to see Lang Lang tomorrow night. I CAN'T WAIT! Brilliant

  • 3:34

  • Beautiful... a master class for all who play this.

  • wow.....mozart es posiblemente el estilo mas dificil de dominar....increible...

  • he makes people smarter with his playing....just amazing

  • What's that boy (5:23-5:39) doing? I think he might be the one who disliked this :-)

  • This performance is just another definition for the word PERFECT

  • who disliked this?

  • @danieldu7 that guy who killed mozart..

  • @FutureAbe To play Mozart in front of an audience of 6000 people in a hall with incredible accoustics is a enormous feat.

Bravo Lang Lang!!wish you just where less of a clown because you are a wonderfull pianist.

  • @danieldu7 Me.....

  • @RichterThePianist of course, since u could do a lot better

  • @danieldu7 No, No, No!!!!! But I think, that he dont understand Mozart. He plays it like something, but Mozart is NOT something. Do you understand me?

  • @RichterThePianist not really... you hate Mozart?

  • @danieldu7 no, I love Mozart!!! but lang lang cant play mozart, because he dont understand his genius. I really, really love Mozart, he is one of my favourite composers. but just because of that I cant hear how Lang Lang plays Mozart. He plays him without real understanding.

  • @RichterThePianist so i take that you understand the meanings within mozart's music right? explain then.

  • @justinneversleep No, I cant explain that, because I dont know it either.

  • @RichterThePianist Why do you insult Richter by using his name for your userid and then post remarks like this? Why don't you lay down on a train track and take a nap? Go on, it's good for you!

  • @dasteufelhund no, I think, you dont understand me. I only want to say, that I dont like, how lang lang plays mozart. I dont want to say, I know how mozart is to play. but I dont think, that lang lang has understood mozart.

  • @RichterThePianist Perhaps, Mozart didn't understand his own music because it was too natural for him.

  • @dasteufelhund beeing natural is no reason for not understanding, I think. What is "too natural"? And I think, that mozart is the only one, who could understand his music.

  • @danieldu7 Probably a handful of people who find him a pretentious performer. Can you blame them?

  • @danieldu7 Mozart

  • @danieldu7 probably Mozart

  • Simply Amazing
