Yeah I don't really like getting drunk. Just buzzed and relaxed. I discovered though that all hangovers are is dyhidration so I find if I drink the same amount of water as alcohol I have a good time without getting trashed or hung over the next morning.

I want some of your wine lol! I do agree though wine always makes me buzzed even with just a sip. That's why I love it to unwind. You can get a buzzed without getting shit faced you know. it looks paradisical. resonating bigtime with this one.. i mean, i was a wh for a while at the hostel in salisbury, england ( convenient to the old salisbury cathedral & stonehenge) when i was a slip of a thing, backpacking and knocking around the uk trying to get enough of a life to be a writer with something to write about!

i got the job thanks to a handsome young archaeologist who picked me up hitchhiking, offered me work on his dig to commence in two months and introduced me to the salisbury hostel proprietors. when i saw the help wanted sign there i jumped at the chance, for a means to stay on awhile in england. my work hours were longer than yours... up before sunrise and done after sunset, but with lovely breaks for breakfast, lunch, tea, dinner and supper! i did write a lot then, now mostly youtube comments!

nope, not even. i know! where did my muse go? videos are a kind of journaling i guess. i do keep little notebooks which fill up with dead dull stuff like shopping and to do lists and lately lot of squiggly ballpoint ink drawings are filling the pages fast. sometimes i wake up in the middle of the night out of some verbiose dream with a poem or narrative idea brimming, but i can't seem to pin the elusive words down quick enough. they flee as i make the attempt. i blame peri-menopause, lol!

Thanks Patty. Yeah, the graveyard is very sweet, especially the one that was on the right. That's overlooking the ocean on a high cliff. It's oldest tombstone is from 1867.

It's roughly two hours in the morning keeping the place orderly and then about an hour in the evening checking people in. Love it!!

I'm whining about having to share my wine but I love socializing with the other hostelers and that gives me an excuse to come and go. lol
