Just received brown royal today, applied it to caked on, 2 yr old brake dust, and it melted it away. the front wheels were worse than than the rear and needed a little bit more effort, but it was still minimal effort took maybe 15 minutes to clean. I've used other wheel cleaners that were purchased at the local auto store and those were a complete waist of money, time and effort. it looks like crap, runny crap, but it works and works great. fantastic product, WOW!!!! no more dirty shoes....
Hi. The dilution ratio of Brown Royal cleaner depends on two things. How heavy is the brake dust on your wheels and do you mind agitating the surface with a brush or sponge. If you clean your wheels regularly them 1:4 would be fine. If the brake dust is heavy and baked on. First time BR use it 1:1 or 1:2. The more you dilute Brown Royal, let it dwell on the surface longer.2-3 minutes on a cool wheel is fine. If you have any questions you can email us.Thank you.
Just ordered this and was wondering what strength I should use it at... I have a 2007 BMW with factory wheels which are clear coated... Do I mix 1 part brown royal and 4 parts water??? Or what??
Brown Royal can be used on chrome wheels without a problem. If you have polished aluminum wheels without a clear coat protection. Then you will need to dilute Brown Royal or light hazing may occur. Brown Royal is concentrated and can be diluted up to 10 times with water.
So....flashvette ive used this stuff and its great for a quick cleaning....but why did you make it brown? most wheel cleaners are a light color (CG diablo for ex) and when the cleaner is done cleaning its brown (dirt in the cleaner) also its the color of brake dust as well
@TheLucky796 The Brown color is unique and so is the product. We could not call it Brown Royal if it was clear. We also have many other wheel cleaners that are clear, red, purple and gold.

can you use this stuff on any wheels, such as chrome and polished aluminum?

I think that the brown color is a great idea. Gives the illusion that the wheel is cleaner that it would be if you used a clear product.
