  • im a music tech student and i find you inspirational. thanks

  • craigtube is the shit!

  • Man, very nice vid. I was searching for spring reverb and stuck the whole 32 minutes. Thanx a lot for this personal statement. Cheers from Germany

  • You have awsome voice Graig! Cheers: Finland!

  • 22:01 Emotional time! Honest and real. Thanks for the sharing!

  • Craig do you have the full track "Help Yourself" online at all? I checked your site but didn't see it listed.

  • Ok, so the official word seems to be that we're doing an online collaboration of "We Are The World". I have the instrumental here. I will send it out to anyone who wants to sing along with it, or just sing the parts you know. I will then compile them together with some nice pro effects. I think Nige is re writing the words to our "We Are The Brewers" tune. PM me or Nige4958 if interested.

  • @CraigTube bravo!!! --

  • count me in!!!

  • Its agreat original track with the natural sound effects at the beginning I m sure I commented on this before ..Man though only 15yrs old at the time you recorded it..amazing.Are you playing the acoustic on that one? Im fascinated by the recording process.Wish I had gotten into it more. I recently bought a drum mc for gigs but I cannot program / master it at all. It would be a piece of cake for you I'm sure..Its a Zoom brand itemAny tips at all would be appreciated my friend..Great video here!!

  • @sbbinahee The best way to use a drum machine is to MIDI it to a computer and use software to record the beats. I have two drum machines and have no idea how to program either of them LOL although I do have experience with that sort of thing, so If I had to, I could learn.

  • I remember using a 4 track, back in my teens. The result wasn't even close to what you achieved. Hats off to you, Craig. Sadly, I don't think I lost any of my early work and it's still there somewhere, reminding me how awful we were.

  • Wow, Craig- Great video! I really enjoyed it. I am also a life long musician, so it reminds me of the crazy/creative ways I used to record. I still prefer analog recording to digital. Thank You, Craig

  • Very cool stuff Craig.... Me and you are the same age, and man, how times goes by my friend.... excellent music...i laughed about the "bathroom critiquing'....

  • This video took two beers!

  • @78recordrepair LOL! And four more to edit. :)

  • thers somthing about 80's love ballads that i love and you have a couple that i really liked...is ther somewhere i can download these??

  • @Nfordmann Yes, my wedsite. craigfarraway (dot) com My music is free. Thanks for listening.

  • Rode NT1-A, with a Konnect 6 firewire interface, KRK ROKIT 5 monitors rounds out my home studio. Currently working on two original tracks that are about the YouTube beer community. It's going to be rich! Oh, enjoyed the vid by the way! Ring me when you're ready for a duet.

  • @nige4958 Hey I got dibbs on duo! ;) get in line lol

You and PEI are supposed to do a duo lol

  • @ACTeslaMachineDC Lets do it!!

  • @ACTeslaMachineDC Hey we could do sort of like a "We Are The World" thing. I could through that together big time.

  • @CraigTube That's not a bad idea! We could rename it "We Are The Brewers!"

I need to work on some lyrics.

  • Comment removed

  • @nige4958 I have the instrumental track. I can send it out to all involved and have you all send me back your raw vocals. Then I can mix them all together. piece of cake.

  • @CraigTube ..That would be killer. Whoever what's to sing on this track, let us know!

  • @CraigTube Sorry for replying late Craig..Thats exactly like something I was thinking of...a cameo of different brewers on youtube with bits of uploaded videos of different songs

  • @nige4958 What song you want to do with me NIge?

  • @CraigTube Maybe something like Elton John and Kikki Dee's "Don't Go Breakin' My Heart." The lyrics and title would of course be changed.

  • I enjoyed that very much Craig. Its Ian from the UK the one who did thanks to Craig when you sent the single! I always joked to Rachel my girlfriend if I ever married her I would ask you to sing at the wedding as it is sposed to be the best day of someones life! Take care Ian

  • @sandydogy Hey Ian. Glad you enjoyed that. I loved your video of you playing the single and wearing the shirt. Very cool. :)

  • nice

  • This is an awesome video, you are an awesome guy. Keep up your videos and music! :)

  • Wow!What a talent you have,great songs.

  • really enjoyed your video craig. I'm nearly 18 years old, and now attempting to build my own studio. Using a combination of cubase and logic pro, so always good to see people who have real experience in recording using either of these. A really inspiring video!

  • Thank you!

  • I really enjoyed that, Craig. Thanks for sharing!!!

  • awesome video,i love your channel and also share some of your intests of making music and wine,i have yet to try brewing beer though but will try .continue being yourself and enjoying life as it rolls on down the road.

  • definitely worth watching. the perm video clip was AWESOME!

  • Very cool info Craig. Back with one of my old groups, I was using Fruity Loops/Acid Pro/Garage Band and recording the vocals in a closet that we had draped with blankets, those were the days.

  • Great music and fantastic how you got the most out of the equipment you had.

    I see you have a DX7.

How do you rate the Roland Jupiter 6?

I know some rate its analogue sound but on other hand the keys are not responsive to touch, just either on or off.

Do you know the keyboard at all?

  • I have briefly played with it. I forget how many oscillators it has and all that. It was fine for it's time, and quite in demand these days.

  • You did lot of great songs back then. You should be like popular today with all the music you do.

Also I like to ask you, how do you get to upload more than 10 mintutes. They won't let me do it. Can you let me know how I can get more than that on youtube. Thank you.

And keep up the excellent work you do.

  • Thanks for your kind remarks. I am a YouTube partner, and that allows me to upload as long as I want. They invited me to the program. There is no other way to do it.

  • excellent video!

  • wow, you make some good music, and you're a really cool guy. keep makin' videos Craig.

  • I was born in 1980, these songs are totally up my alley... I really liked "Help Yourself"

  • Hi Craig

I just watched the vid, Man you're so cool!

My Daughter sings, her name is Inez, you won't have heard of her ( we are in England) She has been on 'Stars in their eyes' as Christina Aguilera, (no one will remember that one) Anyway, to cut a long story short, I used to do the sound for her, she has since got throat problems, (I blame it on the smokey pubs while young.) Are you still kicking out the music? I hope so! You're the man!!!

  • Great Vid Greg!

Was so cool checking out this video really.

And you got that right, all those songs in the 80's were almsot all about a "girl".... *LOL* :)

  • Man what a great track especially considering you wrote it and you were only 13 or 14. sounds so mature. Love it!

  • craig your alright man!!!

  • how old R U now ? nice voice U have Craig

  • Thank you. I am 43.

  • Craig...totally enjoyed this Video....an off the wall question....do you feel that your singing and music abilities or some of them could be carried forward from a previous lifetime?....this just just popped into my mind while hearing you sing when you were 4.....again..enjoyed this video very much,,,your timeline of recordings,,,yes see how they bring back the memories of the times, beautiful,

  • Well, my brother and I both share the ability to sing etc, it's just that he never really got into the recording side of things. Being able to sing or play an instrument comes from being able to listen and interpret what we hear in more detail than most. As to your question, it's possible I guess.

  • ..make your own brew..and make your own music,,and all the equiptment...Love it!!!...we are going to attempt the Beer Brew...

  • and he cooks haha

  • Thanks for sharing those memorys with us. Great video, great songs:)))

  • EXCELLENT video! LOVED it!

I'm a musician friend of one of your home-brew fans. He forwarded your vid link to me since he knew I was into recording music. NICE history! I've got one too, complete with the various 4-tracks/drum machines / effects units I've owned and now I'm using CUBASE! Hey, great music, nice video, great history. Thanks for posting this.

  • great job onces again your make great videos!!!!

i think you a top sing/song writer it would be great if you made a cd togther and sold some of your music i know i would buy it i love you songs they bring back lots of memorys from my teens and things like that

  • Well done. You had me teary-eyed and everything. I was hoping you were gonna tell the tissue reverb and the mall tunnel story. I don't think you told me the Eatons one but I could be wrong. You just seem to know how to make a good watchable video. Nice one.

  • really great vid man, 30mins youtube vids I'm normally bored with. But this was really interesting, loved your tracks and the little stories.

  • that's some insanely good sound quality from your 4 tracks tape decks man!

we should compose some music virtually-i'm a guitarist, bassist, drums, keyboards, etc.

  • Two tape decks, eh? Boy, that was advanced. I just had a tape recorder and a Walkman. The word "quality" simply did not apply. Granted, the tape recorder had two built-in mics (of fairly decent quality) and could record the signal from the mics and one of its inputs simultaneously. (Oh, yes, the mics picked up the recorder's noise very well, too.)

  • OMG !!!! This was an amazing video Craig !!! I gotta get my little butt over there and have a few beers with you man....those 4 track recordings are better then a lot of stuff you hear coming out of much more sophisticated computer recordings !!!

Love the bonus singing of you at the end...I also saved a recording of me singing and banging on cardboard boxes when I was 4 or 5.

    Cheers !!!

  • Nice video on your years of making and mixing music. Do you work in a studio for a living? It would be best for you to change your brand of shampoo Criag, that last updated video almost made me drop my beer! :-0 But thats O.K. since I have so much of it bottled.

  • Wow, that was awesome. I found your channel and subscribed just 3 days ago because of your beer brewing vids. I had no idea you are so talented in music, and video editing skills! And I love the bonus song at the end!

  • It's pretty simple, i LOVE you!!

  • i prefer your videos on your craigtalk channel but your good at playing music though :)
