  • Crime will get worse in your area, well shit this is good news if you are the criminal! I wouldn't call it crime getting worse I would call it, business getting better;)

  • "If you like where they play the banjo, go for the banjo stuff, alright?" LOL

  • #1: Run outside naked with guns shooting in the air.

  • Good advice. Had me LOL the whole time Dude you are hilarious.

  • @TheModernSurvivalist I agree with all that you said,,,But i would like to add two more things,,In a survival situation,,,Common Sense,,,,,and good quality leather work gloves,,,

  • Barefoot Wifi? What a putz.

  • this guy is an idiot

  • Pretty good house/road doodle.

  • you obviously were never a soldier

  • Barefoot in the wild........Im going NAKED!

  • @EquipmentReviewer Looking for a natural connection with the aether? LOL

  • if you come at me with a knife within 2 feet i will dump 20 rounds in your ass with my PX4 B4 you hi the ground!!! ah must be that training THING...

  • try getting inside the barn, makes hitting it much easier.

  • @Kiddeth ROFL!

  • just get straight with jesus christ. thats really all that matters in the end.

  • The person who said dont bring a knife to a gunfight has never been in a knife fight! In close fighting proximity a hand over an auto can cause a feed jam, and a hand with thumb can stop a revolver, all while i am stitching with a knife..bloody as hell! Of course this manuver must be practiced!

  • @piercedbydave HAHAHA can your hand stop a 45acp uh NO! one and done

  • @piercedbydave If you can get into knife range without being shot, you have the element of surprise and there should be no fight at all, just a silent kill. If the gunman sees you before you are within arms reach, it's OVER for the knifeman. If you don't have surprise, gun wins, every time.

  • @MoejoTheGreat, I totally disagree, If you are within striking range with your blade in hand, you can put your free hand over the gun and use the applied techniques for an auto or revolver and cause a feed jam or non discharge. This is a practiced technique and has been proven to work. And as this is happening you are stitching your adversary with your blade hand. As you struggle for your firearm I have already stabbed you several times, With a cross movement i can debowel you.

  • Dont bring a knife to a gunfight, bring both.

  • Very informative video. He raised some very good common sense issues, especially about not making your house look abandoned. I hope to hear more tips from this guy in the future.......assuming of course there is a future......

  • I still think that having a good knife by your side is very effective at close and personal Ranges. The knifes throws are fast and can slice alot. Sure I am a beliver of having a good side arm. But when that fails the knife will be your last arm.

  • so few people realize knives dont jam, they work wet or dry, they have INFINITE ammo, and most importantly the blades go EXACTLY where you put itand there isnt any variance with different kinds of ammo.

  • @Nit3Sh4D3 So few people realize a knife isn't going to help if you're fighting people with guns. If you're referring to zombies, how many zombies do you think you can stab before you finally get bit?

  • @juggaknot93 i would mot print anything about a zombie horde senario unless im talking about a movie i liked. im talking about the silent death provided by a blade. like if being person for what ever reason. would you shoot your gun like prey and tell the others where you are. (and anyone else in the area) or would you hunt and stalk them one at a time like that of a predator. i have a battle rifle for "all or nothing" senario, im just saying a blade is MY primary. to each his own.

  • @Nit3Sh4D3 I had a little trouble deciphering your reply. Especially parts like; "like if being person for what ever reason." Not trying to be mean, I just don't know what you're trying to say. But as for shooting and revealing yourself, the solution for that is only shoot defensively. If you are defending yourself, that means your enemy already knows where you are and is trying to kill you. So, it wouldn't really matter anyway. If you're shooting offensively, it's totally different.

  • @juggaknot93 sorry about the typos. i meant "persued" not person. and if persued then yes, my tactics would change from defense to offense, that being the case, then i absolutley prefer my blade. at the very least my bow. the element of suprisecan be a very valuable ally. but , pinned down, location known, and advancing on you, fuck ya send every fuckin round you got. im not saying not to have a rifle. just to be smart when choosing using it.

  • @Nit3Sh4D3 In a survival situation, a good knife is a priceless piece of equipment, don't get me wrong. But I would always have a firearm ready first. If someone started taking shots at you, and you had your knife out, you're going to die before you can switch to your battle rifle. All because somebody had a gun, and you had your knife. Gun first, knife when you can.

  • Wait a minute. Is the guy in this video the channel owner?

  • Also a good knowledge of natural resources/chemistry would be very helpful for surviving. Herbs and edible plants, poison, trap making, and owning a 50,000 lumen flashlight. A police/swat sheild would be good. Gas mask. Instead of having a seperate house i might advice a hidden underground shelter. Also might be a good idea to know about parabolic lenses and frenel lenses that could potentially conserve fuel required for cooking. Also batteries. Batteries can be very useful in all ways.

  • I love the illustrations!

  • Excellent no nonsense advice. Well done.

  • Finally someone that knows Bear Grylls is an idiot! I have had tons of people think he's somekind of wilderness god. I know someone that went to a survival school with him, he's an idiot! Scored pretty damn low there. Think of mechanical injuries he could and probably does get, of course editing is a wondeful thing for him!

  • @olegrayheadedfart I couldn't agree more with any other comment on youtube. Thumbs up for you, my friend!

  • Where we live, the greatest danger is civil unrest (gangs roving for food, etc.) after a mass evacuation, much like happened in New Orleans after Katrina. If it's a food/survival issue- then it may be beneficial to give the appearance that your house has already been looted- while you have your emergency food hidden in a safe room. If they see habitation, they know there is food there, and that makes a target.

  • What if you throw ninja stars, ninja darts, or chili pepper balls in people's eyes?

  • Great video. Wonderful sane advice from someone who has lived through a societal collapse

  • poop

  • "tips that will get you killed... i mean videos where people show their stuff, their opinions...these are some of the things *I think* you should keep in mind" <-- The irony is killing me.

*IF* SHTF, then "laws" are secondary to survival, because if people are needing to make clean water, hunt and forage, we can safely assume there won't be a gov't capable of maintaining rule of law. Also, you're just plain wrong about crime, there has been a *decrease* in crime over the past twenty years.

  • Comment removed

  • lmao@throw salt and pepper at burglars. Thanks for the practical advice, guy, really appreciate it.

  • tienes mucha razon, en situaciones de emergencia las personas no usan la logica, solo se desesperan y mas aun si no estan preparadas. por cierto me rei tanto con el numero 7 por que es cierto las personas se creen que es como si fueran de campamento por divesion.

  • Finally a video made by someone with a brain. 99% of these survival videos on youtube are made by lower class civilians who have no military or survival training at all. They only want to sound important, when In reality, they will be the first to fall to those of us with military and combat experience. These redneck self-claimed survival experts will get you killed.

  • @MaLeDiiCeNT Yea im going to trust the guy that all his gun knowledge is Battlefield 3 and over half his uploads are my little ponies. Id rather trust the "redneck" who knows how to hunt and shoot a firearm. AKA you have no idea what you are talking about.

  • "Please ppl, think SEX! (6.)" LOL

  • LOL....wow, this guy thinks he's an expert. Gotta love the knife vs a gun scenario he provided. Does he think he's going to run into Ninjas. You watch way too many movies man. You can be prepared to a certain extent but your survival really depends on the type of disaster and the location you are in regards to the disaster. Biological attack = dead. Nuclear attack = dead, earth quake survival depends where you are when it happens and so forth and so on. If you're meant to survive then you do.

  • @mygreenday69 he lives in south america. lots of knife related crimes there. I like this video though, he's hilarious and pretty articulate. its funny.

  • i love forign people :D

  • I happen to AGREE 100% with this man ! Barefoot ? O.M.G ! I dont even watch those so called survival shows on TV ! Think about it THEY ARE ON CAMERA ! They have MEDICS on stand by ! Duuuuuua ! Cant believe people take those shows for something that is real ! Must be the dancing w stars crowd ! Bug out ? Unless its leveled ,I worked to hard for my shit, and yes its hardened ! NO ! I WONT GIVE IT WAY ! I do enough of that with my money to the welfare system, and government !

  • but the bugout location should be unnoticable, or at least your cashe is undiscoverable. as for safety, it is sitational at best. if there is no modern help available, then it might be wise to remove yourself from the equasion. as it is likely better to fight off a few people, then hordes of hungry people. again, situational. bugging out of cities in really bad situations is likely good, as desease will run rampant in cities. again, everything is sitational. a real modern survivalist knows this.

  • just like having a worthless radio in your car, and not leaving things laying around that thieves will break into your car for. occupied, yes,

  • This information can also get you killed. all situations are sitational.

knowing basic self defence allows you to fight your way to a knife or a gun. a gun allows you to fight your way to a rifle of practical use. As far as the throwing a fit thing, again, sitational. it does work in the right sitation just as remaining calm can also get you killed in the right situation. the empty house thing has been mutilated. It was originally supposed to be that your house is made unattractive to looters.

  • most of these tips makes sense, greece, eygpt, libya, syria, should be prime reasons to get ready

  • "Mother nature has wi-fi" FTW :D

  • If the economy collapsed, no matter how much money you have, money would be of no value.

  • spotlights are gonna attract zombies...

  • think you sir for caring enough for your fellow man to make this video

  • Hahah awesome video and humor - I only disagree (in part) with #1. If you can afford only 1 firearm, it should be a shotgun, there is no debate. Location is also a big part of deciding what firearm is best for you but a shotgun offers everything you need. An assault rifle makes you a target IMHO. for a second Firearm, I personally agree on the handgun, but only if it's practical in your area (due to laws etc, in NYC for example it's simply not an option). I LOVE the rest of this video, KUTGW

  • GR8 VID A BUDDY SHOT SOMEONE LANDED IN JAIL THEY TOOK ALL HIS GUNS KNIFES 2YR IN JAIL LAWS VARY BUEN VIDEO SALUDOS

  • Number one thing that will get you killed during a SHTF situation is being a RAGHEAD!!!

  • Comment removed

  • In regards to blacking out windows of your house. In some cases I have heard people recommend it but only in context of a citywide blackout to hide the fact that your house has a power generator. Just covering lights in general may not be such a good a idea.

  • Not sure where you saw the running around a volcano or in a jungle. Lava would cook you if you are close enough to jump over it, seriously.

  • To be fair, when you argue about the "don't bring a knife to a gun fight", this is a misnomer. I am not sure how you are interpretting "gun fight", but gun fights typically don't start in hand-to-hand combat range.

  • Guess what? They're gonna come get your guns. They will be confiscated! Local laws? Have you heard of NADA? This passed the 1st of the year. If you have another country you call home, Id get the hell out of the US. We are on the brink of martial law.

  • @nancy62262 i just saw your comment, when do you think martial law will happen ?

  • @noufri7 It won't be, until Fall of '13 or '14. For maximum effect, it'll have to be, going into Winter—right? And it won't be before Obama is again installed—right?

  • @nancy62262 *NDAA

  • @nancy62262 Oh, don't fret so, . . . it won't be, until Fall of '13 or '14. For maximum effect, it'll have to be, going into Winter—right? And it won't be before Obama is again installed—right?

  • Why the fake accent?

  • Be aware they will be marking your mailbox. Red dot you will be shot immediately - Blue dot you will be exterminated. yellow or Pink You are no immediate harm to their agenda but you will probably be exterminated unless you have some value to the. Look on youtube for more on this "marking"

  • What are the gun laws like in Argentina? Are they very restrictive?

  • This guy never saw the Rifleman show!

  • If it's a robber coming into a restaurant to rob it... why should you care? they generally don't want to hurt you. They just want some money. But if cops are running in to arrest everyone, destroy them.

  • Funny, you say in USA you have the right to keep and bear arms and then in the next breath, you say to get a conceal carry license. I know the video has nothing to do with that but, I see the brainwash technique has worked well with most everyone. The fact is, you do not need a license if you already have the right to bear arms in the first place. We are the People.

  • @walkertonkidd Tell that to the cops in Maryland.

  • @Ghost9909 I would easily do that since they swore upon their solemn oath to uphold and defend my rights. My point was simply (and I am sorry I used you as an example), we say we have rights but are too afraid to exercise them because we have been brainwashed into thinking we have to submit to the government when in fact, we the People created the government. I wouldn't have to inform the Maryland cops of that fact if we finally opened our eyes to fact instead of fiction.

  • @walkertonkidd Yes we have the general right to keep and bear arms. The sad thing is every city has their own ordinances. Most places restrict open carry but allow concealed carry. I guess they think open carry would create more gun related violence.

I think people would be more polite.

  • @politicalsheepdog You DO have the right. There is no such thing as a general right in law. Once one realizes who he is, no ordinance, code, or statute can rule him. We tend to ignore all the partying going on with the servants in the kitchen while we allow ourselves and others, the real owners of the party, to stand out back in the alley way and dig around in the garbage cans for the bones the servants tossed out. Read and understand the preamble of the constitution of the United States

  • @politicalsheepdog and the constitution of your state. YOU are the People to whom which YOU hired to serve. The 14th amendment tricks you into admitting YOU are a PERSON, a citizen of the UNITED STATES (a corporation), and under their JURISDICTION. The corporation then makes a LEGAL PRESUMPTION that you are UNDER their JURISDICTION. They use words to label us and to entrap us into giving up our inalienable rights. They can only attain this through CONSENT. Constitution is written in LEGALESE

  • @walkertonkidd For sure the modern day Lawyers are warping the constitution every day. The worst one of all in el presidente for life Obama.

  • @politicalsheepdog The constitution still keeps those who swear an oath to it in line if we understand who WE are. They swear to uphold and defend it and can be tied in knots if they don't but we must know how to use the courts without those attorneys. WE don't swear an oath to it....WE don't need to..WE ordained it for them, not us. We must understand legally, what a person is and what a U.S. citizen is. The preamble is the most important part of the constitution for us as People. Or, if you

  • @politicalsheepdog choose, you can opt not to be involved in a contract that was signed over 200 years ago by a bunch of now dead men. Whichever WE choose, WE are able to. Lawful and legal are two different animals we need to learn about. We are at the point where we don't even know a right from a privilege. That is how they taught us. Everything we never needed to know.

  • "If you like living where they play the banjo, then go live where they play the banjo" haha

  • Your list covers some important points and some points that make little sense. When the SHTF generally speaking this will also cause WROL even if it is localized it will still exist. Locals laws are meaningless in such a situation. Constant carry of a handgun should only be considered as a means to access the real firepower. A useful rifle with sufficient ammunition should always be stored in your vehicle. In such a situation as SHTF/WROL my survival skills will give me a fighting chance.

  • You can't eat bullets..

  • How many of you have a hand gun? have used it EFFECTIVELY to defend yourseves? If you haven't then shut the fuck up ! OK? If you're in a shtf situation, there ain't no cops/medics/firedepts comming! Wake up! If someone is in your house kill them! Whocares where you shoot them, just kill them, take anything of value then dispose of them. Your "STATE OF MIND" more than anything will determin whether or not you survive. If I suspect you're a threat you'll never get close enough!

  • Great Video

  • 6 PEOPLE ARE COMPLETE IDIOTS AND LIVE IN FAIRYTALE LAND

  • I agree with his opinion that highly visible and armed to the teeth is a deterrent, but not appearing to be affluent is also important IMHO. When the shtf it's going to be chaos everywhere u look and everyone who didn't prepare is going to be looking to take what u have if they need it.

I suppose the human race could pull together and work as one to ensure the survival of our kind. Oh WTH am I saying. Of course we'll kill each other for stuff. That's how we roll. Sorry, I had a Pollyanna momen

  • there one other thing that I see no one speaking about. when all this bad stuff really happens. What are people going to do with all those DOGS.I'm not sure the number but I would bet that the Dog population out number human 1000 to 1.we all know when a dog get hungry it going to hunt of food.eventually, these dog are going to start running in pack.think you can figure it the rest out

  • @mogges1 actually that is a very valid point the packs fo dogs will be an issue. you can not shoot fast enough if a pack jumps you. I plan to kill evry dog I see if the SHTF and if need be eat them (Not like I never ate dog meat before, I live in China ha ha)

  • #7 If I left my shit at my relatives they'd sell it or steal it, been there done that....

I'm living in my bug out location year round completely ready all the time...

  • Cops in the USA shoot people in the back all the time, and never do a day. Saying "I feared for my life", but the man/women was running away. They do it in Los Angeles all the time, I lived there and I know.

  • @TheAdisah He says you should get your ccp—what about the right to keep and bear arms? Isn't that a nation-wide, constitutional citizen's grant?

  • @phillipgaley It is an unalienable right, and the federal government is prohibited from infringing upon that right, HOWEVER, citizens may, in their own communities, decide to give up that right locally. Know the laws where you live.

  • @CEMF100 If the US supreme ct. has ruled the federal restrictions also applicable against the state govt, then, while "citizens may, in their own communities, decide to give up that right locally", FOR THEMSELVES, they cannot so decide for another INDIVIDUAL, local laws notwithstanding—right?

So, are going to use your U.S. constitutional right to keep and bear arms? Or, are you going to pay for a cc permit?

  • @phillipgaley No, the SCOTUS does not have the authority to make law, they may only give their opinion. The fact that we have grown so lazy that we no longer understand such distinctions or the fact that the practice of judicial review is entirely unconstitutional and inapproriate does not change that fact. In addition, even if the SCOTUS were authorized to make law, the states still have the authority to nullify.

  • @CEMF100 Okay, to meet your wrenching construction of what I mentioned concerning applicability to the states, the high court HAS OPINED that, the limitations against federal encroachment as specified in the amendments, are applicable to the states, also. And whether judicial review is unconstitutional, or no, is a digression from actual occurrence for some decades.

And, whether their advancement in opinion is making law or no, is a somewhat separate topic, . . . and while juries may have the

  • @CEMF100 . . . . and although juries may nullify, the Civil War established thus far that, the states do not have power so to do. When and if, another Civil War reverses, I think is not much worth discussing—and especially considering that, the ppl being so corrupt, the Union could now be parted out, part to Mexico, part to Russia, part to China, and other pieces elsewhere, . . .

  • @phillipgaley States may also nullify, not just juries. In answer to your original question, my state has the right to keep and bear arms in the state constitution. The reason I brought up the opinion/vs making legislation is because if the SCOTUS' opinion that federal law trumps state law is correct, then what point is there in having state governments at all? Why not just run the whole natioon from DC? There was a purpose for the form of this republic and it is just as valid today as it was

  • @CEMF100 That, the nation is run out of D.C. is certainly arguable, and which lends strength the argument that, to the fed gov't, the states are more pert to counties, and are therefore essential as constitutive of local governance.

But a larger matter—and preceding many other errors was the passage of the 17th Am, and which removed representative gov't. And the most basic issue has to do with how the ppl got stupid. Leaving the knowledge of G0D, as to governance, they stand as confused, . . .

  • @phillipgaley On that larger matter, we agree.

  • @phillipgaley ...before the civil war. Those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it.

  • @TheAdisah yes you are an idiot. Cops shoot fleeing dangerous felons all the time and it is legal. No city has cops that shoot people "all the time."

  • This guy is auditioning for the comedy channel--right?

  • @rubymickey Just a lttle bit, yeah, . . . don't use your U.S. constitutional right to keep and bear arms; no, take a class and shell out for a cc permit, and hope nobody rescinds your permit, . . .

  • I liked this video because it brings out points that should be considered. Most of the Things this guy says is accurate, but only to a point. Throwing things is useful, but ONLY if it is part of another action, like an attack. Then the distraction can be useful. Distance only helps in that it allows natural selection to occur, but while you have less "bad guys" it usually means they are the worst of the lot. The most important thing is to load that all important weapon, your brain, then use it

  • @JagdtygerII Oh, no, not your brain—there's strength in numbers—right?

  • @politicalsheepdog Agreed. Just watch Jackie Chan. He'll take you out with Elmo doll.

  • MY ADVICE IS, EXPECT THE WORST, AN HOPE FOR THE BEST! ALWAYS ASSUME EVERYTHING! ASSUME IT ALL! THINK B4 U ACT!

  • Shooting someone in the back and NOT landing in jail? God, I would hate to see what actually LANDS you in jail.

  • @TheRottenSandwhich What will land you in jail / prison is, not having a badge to shoot someone, . . . and shooting someone, . . .

If you have a badge, after shooting someone, you can say: "I thought he was reaching for a gun."

  • I see you do your own illustrations. Awesome man! ;)

  • @politicalsheepdog thats right buddy...i was in a convenience store on the way to work at 4:00 am and a homey decided he wanted my bk jacket.Well the idiot didnt seem to notice i was getting a cup of coffee.well he got a pot of that shit in his face, and when he went down,I pounced with one of them black/chrome steel napkin holders that was by the hotdog roller.fucked his ass up and ruined his day.maybe he thought twice next time he entertained fuckin with a whiteboy goin to work.you are right.

  • "Going barefoot in the nature, or going barefoot as a survival strategy of whatever" hahahah!

"mother earth probably has wi fi" Wire Less !

What I like about this guy is that he's right and he's funny.

  • getting a permit 4 a lets them know you have one..it will then be taken

  • My survival plan:

    1) have lots of money

    2) immigrant visa or citizenship of a country on a different continent

    3) dirt bike for getting to the airport

  • @69penetrator69 ..What if the money has no value? what if the airports are shut down?.. what if roads are blocked?..But dirt bike or quad.. guns.. ammo.. water..can & dry food,medicines,staples.. 2 way radios..camping kits..tools..utility clothing.. etc.... And a good secure hideout..

  • Comment removed

  • @69penetrator69 That lots of money won't be worth the paper it's prined on. Don't trust our fiat currency, invest in silver or gold. And, that airport won't be flying you anywere.

  • @69penetrator69 Horrible plan. If the SHTF Money may hold no value and good luck getting on a plane going anywhere.

  • @JohnDoe4612 You've heard of "the bridge to nowhere", well, after EMP, there very well may be some "planes to nowhere", too.

And yes, no one will have money but, money will have value; and no, to change your pm's, no pm dealers will not come to work that day, . . .

  • @69penetrator69 don't you think if shtf in the US that it's gonna really suck in other countries?

  • Comment removed

  • @MrBigawesome1 I say, "if EMP goes off,"—what am I talking about, of course it's gonna go off, . . . and probably twice, spaced several weeks apart, just to catch some who might have made preparation with some spare ignition system parts, . . .

  • @69penetrator69 Come to Australia, we give people who come on a boat, ten thousand dollers worth of stuff ( big TVs ect. ) and a free hpuse to stay in.

  • @adrianwillis360 House

  • @adrianwillis360 Great! Can you send me the paperwork? Can I bring my semi-auto shotguns?

  • @phillipgaley Lol you can't bring guns but when you get here you can get a gun licence for pig hunting. And there is no paper work, you have to come as illegle immergrint in a boat to get the free stuff, and while your getting processed they sort of lock you up.

  • @adrianwillis360 Okay, . . . well, . . . that's at least something t'go on, . . . I'm just not sure that, leaving from Oklahoma, . . . well, it might be quite a difficult undertaking. I might just have to try and stick it out here; I get a disability check, I could maybe put together some kind of small boat, and, I do like adventure and all, not at all into TV, but I would like to hunt pig; I need t'get some dentures, . . . I'll let y'know when I start out--okay?

  • @phillipgaley Yea you could always just apply for a visa, than just come here on a plane to. there is lots of work at the moment and alot of good land to live on if every thing collapses. but you know i wouldn't rule out USA from recovering just yet, so staying there would be wise, intill it collapse than just apply to come here or come on a ''Holiday'' and just stay. good luck to you, and tell us when you start out.

  • @69penetrator69 10 years with the (justified n ancient) innuit should suffice lol

eat like innuit have no sraby..

  • @69penetrator69 EMP blast, . . . darn, . . . darn airplane engine not run, . . . have to paddle, . . .

  • lol lets go to iraq bare foot

  • good video but a bit long. try to condense a bit for ADD people.

  • thank you. this video is very good. funny too. lmao.

  • O-M-G I died! "The fish jumping right out of the stream straight into the fire" That was great!

  • Weapons are a God Given right for all mankind and supercede any man made law to the contrary…. This is the closely held religious belief of every real Christian.

  • If the world is really gone to sh*t then everyone is a potential problem for they will either have stuff to protect or need stuff you have, friends and family keep them close, observe others from a distance

  • flintknapping, primitive weapons, trapping, fishing, evasion, camouflage, deception, tactfulness, patience, the ability to sit/stand/bend in awkward positions or bad situations for long periods of time without moving or giving yourself away, knowledge wilds foods in the areas you are going to operate.

Start with that and you may stand a chance.

  • shotgun. 20ft or closer. dead.

  • Interesting and you did get me thinking. I'm still going to keep a bug out bag but of course you have to realize it's temporary. I was going to post more but didn't realize how limited the space was. And I'll be watching more because I think you have alot to offer in knowledge. And you made me laugh a few times. Good job. B- so far.

  • hat does 'bugging out" mean?

  • @kharif01 Viet Nam era: get the flock outta there

  • @kharif01 " 'bugging out' " doesn't mean anything, . . .

  • After reading some of these post let me make one comment If im comming to stab or cut you with my knife what makes you think youll see the knife till its in your gut just saying you ether know somethings about to go down in which case you know what to do or you caught unawares and could be screwed

  • At 7 yards? That's 21 feet! As a trained martial artist I can quickly move in at 10-12 feet to disarm a gun. At 21 feet, there is a slim chance of that. What can I do with a knife? Throw it? Even with training, by the time I move to throw the knife, he could easily pull the trigger and kill me. Your assumption is wrong here I feel.

  • @AmericanCryer Try it some time. Get a holster rig and simulated gun, have a buddy armed with a rubber knife and try the 21 foot rule. See if you can draw and shoot before you get stabbed. Also take into consideration the knife wielding person might not care if they get killed and close the distance anyway, even after being shot and stab the gunman.

  • @politicalsheepdog It would depend on the type of knife, and caliber bullet, plus the person's training, if any. But let's say I have a .45 and they have a hunting knife. To be able to close the distance they would have to roll. And if they do, they will only cover about 10 ft in one roll. I know, I've done it! So about half the distance. This can be done within a second. But again, it's only half the distance. (Continued...)

  • @AmericanCryer Rolling is not how to cover distance, there is no acceleration in a roll only fictional losses that slow you down

  • @archeryman5000 Rolling enables you to cover the distance safely at speed. The gunman will find it hard to shoot lower so fast. If I rush in running or leaping, I am still in direct line of fire. However, when I roll toward and under the line of fire, I have a better chance at closing the distance. This is all assuming the person has the gun pointed at you of course. I'd rather do something, than nothing at all if I know I'm gonna get shot.

  • @politicalsheepdog There is still 11ft. unaccounted for and by the time the person either rolls again or stands to try and rush in, I, or someone with the gun, could easily pull the trigger. That's if the trigger was not pulled to begin with. Now, in some ways, I would much rather face someone, up close, with a gun, than a knife. But at a distance I would want the opposite. If someone is 21 ft from me with a knife, bring it! I want them to rush in.

  • @AmericanCryer Yea, there are some variables. The knife person has less to do fine motor skill wise. Knif person runs as fast as he/she can to stap and slash the gun owner. The gun owner has to draw, aim and squeeze the trigger.

what changes the odds for the gun owner is if he/she already has the gun out at the beginning of the encounter. If the Knife person is the attacker odds are he/she has the adrenaline dump advantage adding to strength and quickness.

  • @politicalsheepdog Right. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that at 21 ft, I'm a great marksman. It may seem silly to think, but 21 ft is still hit and miss if you don't know what you're doing. This is where training comes onto play. I tried to hold my gun out straight and shoot at a target about 30ft away. I missed every round. This was a test. I then did it properly, and hit my mark every time. So it comes to experience as well. Same with the knife fighter.

  • @AmericanCryer Best to never have any situation were you are confronting someone, they can not harm you in any way if they do not know you are there.

  • @politicalsheepdog or they could be on some bad as* drug giving them extra staying power even if they are a dead man walking
