Yeah just to let people know...i have a friend who was recently told by an er doctor that his breathing difficulties and chest pains were minor heart attacks that were down to smoking and alcohol ( he mainly drinks Vodka and Red bull)....he's 18 btw. If your gonna drink spirits with mixers....DO NOT use energy drinks like red bull..seriously.

Doubt it, it's basically the only drink I think tastes decent that they serve at this club I go to, I drink 4/5 a night and I feel fine.

Bartenders add the Alcohal first in a mixed drink because it tends to melt the ice away quickly, makeing the drink very cold (which is always a plus) But that was way to little vodka considering redbull is a drink that has a very powerful taste. I would be surprised if you could even taste the vodka. I real redbull and vodka should be about 2 and 1/2 oz vodka and 6 oz's redbull

red bull and vodka...2oz vodka 4oz red bull........make sure to buy them seperate at bars....Most bars charge between 5 and 9 depending on if they make you buy the whole can.....You can drink 4 or 5 at home for the price a bar charges. This is the worst drink to order because it's so overpriced in bars....

i uh, got the bright idea to mix red bulls with drinks at a free open bar once. an xmas party for my job. i think the bartender was gay, or bored, but the drinks were almost straight. the bull and straight liquor had me bouncing off the walls, very boisterous to say the least, soon people ended up in the pool, things were said, i got fired. i think some weed was involved too, but i did get laid... (not the bartender, a girl) so it all worked out.

the whole reason this drink messes you up is because alcohol is a depressant and red bull and other energy drinks are stimulants. When you have a drink like this, your body is confused by the two totally different chemicals. You are unable to tell that you are becoming drunk because of the effect of the red bull, that's why it can be really fun, but dangerous at the same time :)

scooping the ice with the glass can cause the glass to chip.

From personal experience a bar can re-use a glass several times in a single night, from 3-10 times. because of this, they get washed more often, so the glass goes through heat treatment washing, and then gets ice poured in it. Obviously this can weaken the glass, rapid heat - expansion, cold - contraction.

so if a hot , or just weakened glass is then trust into cold ice, the rim can clip. just have to remember that ice is solid.

Scooping ice with your glass is a cardinal sin. A warm glass going into a cold tank several times a night will eventually break. When glass breaks in ur ice bin, you have to empty out ALL the ice and clean the bin to make sure there's not a single grain of glass in your drink. A shard of glass in a drink will surely get you fired. That's why you always use the scooper for the ice.
