nah, both the cayenne and mdx are in the srx's class - midsize luxury SUV's

of course the cayenne is sportier therefore more expensive, but the luxury of the srx is equal

and the srx is much less expensive

and the srx is more fuel-efficient

i'd like to see the srx v8 destroy the lexus gx470 and land rover lr3

if you go by car standards,maybe,but by suv standards the mdx and srx x8 lose majorly to the gx 470 and lr3 and the cayenne,both the cayenne and lr3 can tow more then 7000ib,and the lr3 has the space of a full size suv!!!

the srx is sportier than the gx470. also, the srx is more fuel-efficient. it also costs a little less, i think. standard features of the srx v8 include a premium sound system, memory system, 8-way power front seats, heated tilt leather-wrapped steering wheel w/radio and climate controls, compass, universal garage door opener, heated front seats... and on and on and on

the srx v8 is very luxurious.. i'd rather have an srx v8 than a gx470

the srx is also very tippy,which is a low considering it is a crossover suv,the 2wd version tipped in rollover reaistance test,even with the stability control,plus i would much rather have an suv with suv capiblity,oppsoed to a tippy crossover suv without any suv capiblities

the srx v8 is sporty, luxurious, and environmentally friendly (compared the gx). you would rather have a gx470 solely because the handling is somewhat better?

no mostly because its a true suv that is very capible off road,and can tow a good sized trailer,and it the lexus is very luxurious and more relible,the srx is basicly a tall station wagon, incapible of suv like qualities

the gx470 is a fuckin gas guzzler.. u destroy the planet and pay a shitload for gas.. in the end even if you get the options on the srx to match the lx470.. u will save so much money buying the srx and u'll get more out of it

although the gx470 might deliver more functionality, trust me the srx is more well-rounded

the srx will only have a 3.0L v6 at around 270HP and a option turbo 2.8L v6 and around 310HP.

either is a good choice i think.

I agree, the old SRX's success is one of the biggest suprises in cadillac's history. They sold wayyy more SRX's than they ever thought possible, and now they've completely changed a good thing. I was hoping for minor changes like the mazda3.
