Saw your panoramic photos -- beautiful work! You have a lot of talent. I hope you're not unemployed anymore -- and I hope you have a job doing what you love!
I am a struggling artist myself. I was doing the unemploye3d thing for about five months before I got my current job. I am into graphic communication (the print kind, not the web kind), I build ads for hotel directories. The only thing t5hat would take me away from graphic design right now is if my sit-down comedy took off. I have a bunch of my bits uploaded. Please go over there and comment.
Funny video that works as a resume too. With your popularity on YouTube, I'm sure the right people will come along, watch your video, see your banners and you'll be rolling in job offers and dough (Scrooge McDuck-style) in no time! Best of luck to you.
aeirynn!!! I KNEW someone's comment was missing from this video. ;-)
I actually got a call today from the other agency that I signed up with. They have a job for me that sounds almost similar to the other one! They didn't ask if I had done flash banners before, but if they had, I knew exactly what I was gonna say: ... "No"
I'm sure the dolphin webpage was put up as a joke. I had checked the WHOIS registration and it was registered by the same people who have made other joke webpages. However, I guess that doesn't rule out the possiblity that they found that text written somewhere else for real and decided to make their own webpage out of it.
Most likely you didn't want to get stuck in some stuffy job where you wouldn't be allowed to run free with your humor and creativity. You can remain a lucky starving artist !
They should have hired you! They should have seen those banners as an obvious sign of your amazing creativity. I love your sense of humour, as do thousands of other people who watch YouTube. Maybe it's good that you wont have to work in a boring, stuffy old environment! The right job will come along, and you have my best wishes.
Thanks sweet :-) Yeah, I did kinda think that maybe it would be okay to show those because if the client was one of those hip-young-fun companies they would have seen them and though 'good times'. Thanks again for your support!
Well Sweet, long long long ago before there was such a thing called "Viral Video" (Like, a year and a half ago?), we had "Viral Webpages". So most of those were just links that I found on other sites or told about by friends. I am very proud, though, that I found the personals site all on my own. I forget what I was looking for when I found it, but that one really is one of my favorites.
Hey Steve, don't lose hope. You'll get tons of no's for every yes you get. It's kind of like dating. But a guy who did the still photo vid, and your last vid commenting on the war, and your great sense of humor make you someone who will find something awesome. I'd give you a job referal if you lived in Los Angeles.
Thanks Chuck. I guess this was such a let down because this job seemed like it was a done deal. It's my understanding that when an agency offers you something and then presents you to the client that that part is kinda just a formality. Anyways... yes, keep hope alive! Thanks for the very nice comment.

try making some professional banners and put them on a site, this way you could show them to the next company that calls you for an interview :)
