  • BONDO = "Better Off Not Doing 0" (nothing) ... it's a crap product line (manufactured by 3M). If you've ever sanded a quality filler (e.g. U-POL) you'd *never* use "Bondo" again (even if it was given to you for free!!) ... 3M makes good (yellow) spreaders and "Bondo" brand (pink, flimsycrap) spreaders ... for the same price! Remember, it's better to just leave it than use Bondo.

  • @ahawnt That's because you are an idiot and don't know how to use it

  • @LeaPhelps And who the FUCK are you??

  • We have pin guns now lol

  • on 0:17 it looks like that you need all of these to fix that rust hole!!! the real way is a piece of metal and some weld tools..

  • this video looks like that is from '80s...

  • Seriously, this beats the hell out of buying an expensive aftermarket replacement, or taking it to a shop and having them fix it the "right" way. Of course, the best thing to do is always see if you can find a straight, rust-free replacement from a junkyard, but Bondo can be the saving grace of otherwise good body panels with a few minor dents.

  • no i do nt no what car it is its some classical car thats been treated badly

  • @IDontHoldTheTruth - Any specific advice on a better product to even out a dent?

  • bondo is good for minor dents but your better off just replacing the body parts or doing sheet metal. It takes alot of practice to make bondo look perfect.

  • rofl cars shit anyway

  • @robert1973ization then you ovisly dont know real cars

  • @rockman12367 im sure i dont that has rust all over it its a bag of shit a real car is not a peice of shit

  • @robert1973ization do you even know what kind of car that is? it wouldnt surprize me if you didnt , just becuase some cars has rust doesnt mean their all junk , dont judge it by the outside something people need to learn like you.

  • @robert1973ization and by the way the car doesnt have rust all over

  • That dent puller sux now theres a big ass dent and a bunch of holes

  • So to fix my dent your saying I put lots of holes in my truck 0_o interesting..

  • that dent puller was useless

  • @jamesandrewjhonson..i have a 2003 durango it has rims and evrything else you can have on an suv,but the promblem is a little rust spot on gate..so fuck yuu yuu lil bitch muthafucker..

  • Where can yuu buy this!????

  • @ddygo If you really want to buy this crap then you better not have something worth any money.

  • I have been doing doby work and painting for 40 yrs and now iam teaching it.Man how lame are you, keep up with new technologies,no wonder people get the worng info from you tube.

    jojo

  • Even thought this is all old school if you are actually no what your doing this stuff will save you time and money i should know i used these bondo on my truck and i came out amazing

  • Hi how much money can I save.choosing welding works plus paint and bondo plus paint

  • @bonggorospe well if u do the work yourself you can save money of course then taking it to the shop it will always cost you more. if you trust yourself enought and have the skills for it do it yourself but i cant come up with a price quote it all depends on how much damage but it all depends on you

  • effin old school hacks

  • Calm down people!! It was JUST a SHITTY Camaro! Damn, there are thousands more left! CHILL OUT!

  • God this is so wrong

  • pierdzielił i pierdzielił gorzej spiepszył i nie naprawił

  • I just watched four minutes of video and we're not even talking about how to use bondo, yet.

  • 1. should always use the least amount of bondo possible 2. drilling is always a bad option 3. rust should not be covered with fiberglass 4. poor poor camaro :(

  • oh shit not again

  • i cant believe a company would make a video like this and expect to stay in buisness .what the fuck!!!!!

  • wowo this is a peice of shit damn cant they jus fix the damn thing and see the proccess of it

  • poor camaro =(

  • obviously Invisiblepanda is from that generation that just throws everything away. "The Toss it out and by a new one Generation" wasteful and lazy.

  • @wave12 That or possibly hes one of the new generation that would rather make the correct repair by cutting and replacing the sheet metal instead of covering it with bondo and chicken wire. 5 years down the road guess whos repair will look better.

  • Bondo is trash use evercoat fillers nothing on the market better

  • fuck that ill just buy a new panel for like 80$

  • WOW how NOT to fix a car!!!

  • once I checked out a 1968 Camaro Convertible it was a beauty very nice new paint, new cabine etc...then I discovered that a lot of rusty metal was covered with bondo.....so for me it went from $35k to ?????

  • bondo is hell on vintage cars...

  • Guys don't Bondo. Ask your body shop what they fill with and if they'll sell it to you. This stuff was bad in the 80s and hasn't changed since....

  • This only sucks if you dont do it right. yes, it sometimes crumbles after you sand it after it dries. then after about like 7months it can crack and will sometimes crumble

  • that's because you still have chemical lift on your car that what i was told from my neighbour i had bad lightning cracks in my camaro should use stuff that bit high quality i wouldnt recommend this stuff there's alot more stuff that's better

  • what would recommend using? i got some big cracks around the cowl induction design on my camaro hood and on the bumper

  • look at your boys bling!!!!

  • I NEED the soundtrack!

  • I understand he is showing how to use a slide hammer but why did he not just get behind the dent and tap it with his hammer.less holes means stronger area.

  • not always. that's what i thought to but think about it this way. if you pull a shirt it will stretch but won't rip unless you pull really hard. Concrete if you pull will crack, the stitches is what make the shirt strong, and the stitches are like holes. its weird

  • Bondo is difficult to apply/use except for flat surfaces. Using it for instance repairing rusted out metal in a Coleman camp stove makes for tricky application. I have read that acetone thins it out and may slow its very quick setting time so I will try that. I am a first time user and I hope it gets easier with time and thinning this tricky product out.

  • You can body fill just about any size dent on any curved surface, Make sure you sand down your surface first to remove any rust, high, and low spots. Then you may need to use bondo in a few layers. Then it is all about sanding your shape the desired shape into the bondo (to match the curved surface) that is a sort of art, and takes a bit of practice.

I'm not sure this would work very well on a grill, I don't think it can stand up to the high temperatures and may be toxic?

  • Yes hand sanding is about all you can do for a Coleman grill that was eaten all the way through with rust on one whole side after you sheet metal and rivet it in and apply Bondo. I ran the grill for thirty minutes afterward and will take a closer look if any heat damage occurred. You must account for drip pan side clearance when repairing Coleman grills with Bondo.

  • didnt even move**

  • hahaha yeah i think so too

  • dent puller??? didnt like like it even moved

  • Every piece of information is great if your trying to repair your car yourself. I want to know everything I possibly can, and in the long run I wont F up anything on my car lol.

  • worst video tutorial EVER. this is by far the most ridiculos video. get to the damn point geeze.

  • OLD SCHOOL

  • this video is for entertainment only.and should not be attemted.this stuff is so outdated it not funny.

  • Something tells me you don't need ALLL that stuff to fix a dent.

  • you are right you dont,BTW bondo brand sucks, feather lite. its alot better. if you have any questions about auto body repair .feel free to send me a message.

  • You mean feather rite don't you???? With an R.

  • everything about these repairs is done wrong especially the way the dent was pulled with slide hammer.

  • Nice videos man, thanks for uploading these stuff.

  • Jeesus Christ! Have these guys ever heard about sheet metal and welding? That is about the worst thing you can "fix" your car with. :D

  • So the sheet welding is better? What is the differences with welding and this method? How do i sheet weld it?I sand down the filler till i get the metal ?Right?I can understand if it is a large repair but for small ones wont this method be easier?(for a home repair/restoration)

  • I don't think bondo makes sheet metal

  • @NALE12 bondo is the poor mans fix, we cant afford or know how to weld,

  • @NALE12 not all people want to cut a hole in every spot they have a small dent and weld new metal in. not all curves are easy to just re-weld?

  • @ NALE12 I dont know about you but I dont have the tools or cash to have a full on sheet metal repair done. haha plus just look at when these video's were made. It was more the norm and geared more toward the average at home user. Also notice that they never show a nice car in any of these videos. They always use older cars that may not be worth the cash for such an extensive repair. Sheet metal is by far the way to go but I'm looking at a practical standpoint.

  • @NALE12 Not everyone has access to welding equipment jackass. This is not for showcars, just people who wanna keep their stuff lookin decent.

  • @NALE12 Yeah! My high school teacher taught us how to weld and fill it rust with patches but he said it's easier to body filler it so that's all we have done

  • @NALE12 Umm if you try to weld yourself you need ot be an expert sheet metal former. This way is a lot easier and looks just as good as any other job. Trust me on this

  • @NALE12 Umm if you try to weld it yourself you need to be an expert sheet metal former, otherwise it looks like crap. This way is a lot easier and looks just as good as any other job. Trust me on this

  • NALE12, fenders and body panels are too thin to be welded. The thin steel would melt.

Even if, how would you go about welding a shallow dent? That would require cutting out the dent, cutting a piece of sheet metal to fill the hole, clamp it, somehow, and tack weld the patch in place. And then, grind the welds flat.

You would also have to remove every part of the car on the other side of the patch, or the plastic panels would melt and make poisonous gases.

    Go ahead, knock yourself out.

  • @NALE12 You're right, I'm a trade qualified spray painter, I can assure you & everyone else that is not the right way to fix rust and dents. Rust is like cancer and you need to cut out the affected area and replace it with new steel that has been seam welded in place, painted on the outside, rust proofed on the inside, if you don't cut the cancer out it will come back, the same as on a human body. This type of repair is suitable if you want to sell the car and make it someone elses problem.

  • @GlennSnelling quick question what if u cut out the rust then bondo the section if it is small enough? also how many in. above the rust should b cut?

  • @NALE12 What about people who 1)don't know how to weld 2)can't afford to pay someone to weld 3)are trying to fix up a $300 dollar car just to make it look a little nicer? Do you have a better solution? I'm really interested if you do...

  • @NALE12 not if u dont have a welder.....bondo is the best inverntion...

  • never shake bondo it wont stick to metal its bad

  • dont drile that use a uni spotter. That shit is old school.
