  • what the hell why are there so many dislikes on this this is great.

  • this is cool. i like your videos, and your art. i dont always know exactly what you're drawing, but so what ! it's interesting to see what turns out.

  • @thatblondechickkk Thank you!

  • I absolutely love your videos, even though I have only seen 2 so far!

  • @XxxPuzzleGuyxxX Thank you too!

  • There is this guy named "dantheartman" who is a great painter and artist, and when he does sketches he skribles them the exact same way you do lol. but when he fineshes it comes out amazing, I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder. keep up the good work man !

  • How the hell did you get a chicken out of that chicken scratch ???

  • @HARLEM9876 just did.

  • @dinasaur2 Its crazy but the more i watch it i can see it

  • you can find brause 66 ef nibs on jetpens.com

  • Your method of sketching and seeing an image from that sketch is amazing. I also like the texture you create with your inking. I dig it.

  • @poorleno22 Thank you.

  • i don't see a reason for someone to dislike this video...people just need to get over their selvs and stop being just down right rude..

  • @redhotbarron Thanks.

  • What pens are suitable for indian ink? I draw manga as a hobby, but I want to start inking

  • @ImmatureShenanigans

I have sent you an answer in your message box. Thanks.

  • no offence, but you put on a little too much black. Otherwise, it is a great drawing.

  • @Diego1999ist No worries, thanks for the reply.

  • @dinasaur2 okay. :)

  • hoe did you filmed you hand so steady? do you have your camera on a stand or holder?

  • @Wndywndy I hand held a digital camera in my left hand as I drew.

  • @Wndywndy Camera in my left hand the nib and pen in the other!

  • ii still have no idea of what just happened aha like no offence but what is that, the bird on the left has some long thin comin out its mouth the thing in the middle what is that, my closest geuss is a bong and the thing on the left i think its a bird buts leges are just weird like what is that or is it just me?

  • @Pabberzzz it's weird.

  • @dinasaur2 Yes I agree.

  • @Pabberzzz Could be...;)

  • Isdrawing with a nib pen like drawing with a black ink pen? (I mean the feel as u write/draw)

  • @TrezCast The feel of the nib pen is a different feel to black ink pens. With a nib you use hand pressure to make varying widths of line when required.

  • Comment removed

  • @dinasaur2 Is that so... Well thank you 4 answering ^ ^

  • @TrezCast Yes it is a Hunt nib and pen holder. I use Speedball Super black India ink.

  • @dinasaur2 Ok, thnx 4 the info.

  • I love the Hunt crow quill, but I find that the ones from Brause Iserlohn have a better qualitiy and they are much easier to use. I recomend Hunt 102 fans the No 66 EF or 67 EF nib from Brause Iserlohn.

  • @Adeltraut I have the hunt 102 nibs. I have many Hunt nib's. I am using Hunt 100 at the moment. I also like the Hunt 108. Joseph Gillot nib's I use to (very fine nibs). I have not used any nib's from Brause Iserlohn. I will have a look on ebay.

  • @Adeltraut

No 66 EF or 67 EF nib from Brause Iserlohn, I cannot find these nibs on ebay.

  • @dinasaur2 here are some. but they're quite expensive in a big box try brause 66

    or this: Brause Zeichenfeder Hochelastisch

unfortunatly i could only find them on ebay germany

  • why did you scribble in the beggining??

  • @istephan007 trying to make the shapes from nothing.

  • @dinasaur2 oh cool and how old are you youre a crazy good artist

  • @dinasaur2 man u just inspired me to start drawing again.... i used to scribble to start my drawing when i was younger

  • @23brokendream That's great.

  • i use hunt crow quill nibs to do my comics

  • @idiotcomic good medium to draw comic's with.

  • I find the scratch of the pen on the paper very relaxing, am I weird?

  • @Miganishi same

  • @Miganishi No, don't think your the only one, i find it relaxing to...I have no clue why though and have yet to figure it out...

  • @redhotbarron its because you have "asmr" search it

  • @devanf17 Thanks

  • What kind of pen do you use?

  • @ExoticDreams I use what is known as a nib and a pen holder. Hunt brand nib's are available at art stores

  • @ExoticDreams hunt nib's .

  • LOL I've "scribble-drawn" in a similar way before. It's good if you just don't know what to draw. =D

  • @WorldisArt I agree and it's great that people can just let go and draw something. That is what I did with this video. From scratch...

  • @antman4400 too bad I am not here to please you and for that matter your negative state of mind.

  • its creative and qiuck so i like it alot

  • @KazzyEss2k9 Thanks- It is being creative and direct.

  • What kind of inki do you use?

  • @Cartoonkid111 I am using Speedball brand India ink that is waterproof /black colour

  • drawing under the influence of LSD

  • @rayjrusi Nope- I do not do drug's.

  • @dinasaur2 True ;-)

  • Respond to this video... you should try to do this and you will see.

  • Really nice ink drawing! My only criticism is the heavy inking towards the end. It sort of flattened some of the forms. Perhaps a light wash in varying shades would have brought out the details a bit more. That's just my taste though. Your under-drawing was solid, so the rest mainly comes down to personal taste and technique. BTW, what type of paper and brushes were you using?

  • Just killed the drawing

  • @veshtericata oh yeah... almost hitting 25,000 views and no blood has been shed making this video, mate

  • Are you using water color or ink with the brush? I want to start drawing like this, black and white comic strip style, but I have no idea what so ever how to do it.

  • @just1cede

Well I am using Speedball brand ink that is waterproof /black colour. In the beginning of the video I am using nib's and then I am using a brush in the later stages. I also use fountain pens' to draw with in my other video's. Email me if you have any further Q's. Thanks I hope this helps.

  • omg i remember my teacher just randomly doodled on a paper and handed it to me and she said " draw something with it" it made me think alot but i finally got a doll in those doodles... nightmare but fun mental drawing ( or challenging)

  • @sakuranina13 it is fine - I have to draw from nothing all the time...It takes a bit of practice and perseverance

  • Please see Tim Vigil on YouTube.

  • @TEHSWOLEONE poor baby

at least you got a little taste.

Tim Vigil is quite good. He's about my age :P

  • it was okay until you started with the brush, i think it was a little to much, still good work though

  • @ThatAllieLovely

yeah sure- videoing me, drawing this is great because people can see what work's and what does not work.

  • u just made scribbles in the beginning and u ended up with such a pic. WOW! i mean the idea of the pic is random but still. this is pretty awesome if u get it from scribbles. xD

  • @vinegar1991 Thanks

  • @vinegar1991 you should my scribbles now-lol

  • tell me you were at least as high as the bird when you made the video of this shitty drawing...

  • @ohyeah8954

No... I was not high when I made this- I am not a stoner & sorry to disappoint you but over 21,000 hits and still rising.I Cannot please everyone.

  • You are pushing to hard, we should not be hearing the scratch scratch scratch...this is not a ballpoint pen

  • @rubikscube10111 hahar-SORRY...;)

  • Respond to this video... Turn down the volume bud...

  • @rubikscube10111 or maybe the camera's mic. was turned up.

    or close to the paper.

or touching the surface, sound will travel better through solids than gasses

  • the pics random but good but bro you just wasted alot of ink for a random sketck

  • @mahmoudlez oh - ink is cheap.

  • @mahmoudlez I wouldn't say it's a waste, as long as he had fun in the process

  • drawing is scribbling. Nearly 20,000 hit's not bad for a scribble, eh. Lol

  • WOW what is it its still cool

  • @xkilla144 dunno

  • Well thats a nice way to practice. Just scribble a bit and draw a form from it.. Thanks for da tip dude..

  • 6:24-6:27 where incredible lines!

  • different dynamic's as the seconds count down while I draw this as I am holding a camera in the other hand.

  • @Vash123873jr

    Thanks!

  • Lol when i try to start a drawing like that it looks better when im not thinking but once i start thinking of what im drawing i end up messing the whole thing up

  • mmmmhhhh, yeah . Do you want a tissue or something lol?

  • wow furfag lol. pretty good though.

  • WTH is a "Fur fag" lol:)

  • This is weird but it still rockz XP It's funny to watch how you draw

  • what kind of pen is this....someone tell me something about them

  • The tips is called a 'nib' and it is removable and comes in various widths depending on what type of line the artist is needing in the work. The other part that the nib connects to, is called the pen holder. Art stores sell these items and they are cheap. Ink can be purchased --- Speedball ink.

  • Wow, did you have the drawing in mind when you started scribbling or do you just look at scribbles and see what you can make out of them?

  • when I draw I never have a drawing in mind. IThe scribbling allowed me to get an idea of what was possible-

  • @anmaree It's a gesture drawing. With gestures it allows for more freedom and more life within a picture. Whereas a straight forward drawing would probably be a little blocky.

  • @Silentartisan207 Yes, I know what a gesture drawing is. I was wondering whether he had the finished drawing in mind when he put pencil to paper,

  • No I had no idea how this drawing would end etc I never know what I am drawing until I finish it-

  • @dinasaur2 So it's basically just random scribbling? Is that a fair comment without sounding like an ass?

  • Yes correct-

  • I like your work, I'm fascinated by pen & ink & brush drawings

now I'm pretty sure I haven't seen this youtube movie before, however I think I've seen this before, was it exposed on a site???

  • I have only had this video shown on youtube

  • i had a dream that looked just like this. it was when i drank Pine Sol and watched Half-Baked. Never again....

  • I see artwork thats done in "watercolor and ink"....i never knew what they ment by ink.....Is ink using the fountain pen like you are???

  • Yes ink used in a fountain is similar

  • what about those disposable pens? the ones with a needle type tip.

  • Yes these pens are good for drawing to. But with nibs and bottled ink it is a different drawing experience- you should try it sometime...

  • that's how you sketch a drawing.. by scribbling.

  • whats with the scribeling?

  • Well for starters I use "Hunt" nibs (google it as a search for more details) The nib is the artist" type". I look after my nibs and I clean them straight after I am finished with the drawing task.

I use a soft tooth brush and some warm soapy water and I scrub (very lightly and carefully) the nib. Then I dry the nib of any excess water with a tissue or paper towel (this is to stop rust or some type of oxidization caused by water residue). New nibs need to be soaked in warm to hot H20...

  • i use g-pen for manga.

Maru-Pen though is also used for manga very often.

  • ¿un poco bazofia no? (es mi opinión claro)

  • sorry I cannot speak Spanish...

  • this draw is the best shit that I saw

  • canicvla said: A little pigswill no? (my opinion of course)

    That's what it is translted.

  • Gotcha, thanks for the translation! lol "pigswill" lol-pleasant insult from "canicvla"

  • no problem. I didn't quite see what you were going for at first...I saw so many different things during the process of creation. Like it started to look like the roster was stealing stuff from something then it looked like the rooster was opening a genie bottle, then it just looked like he was smoking hookah, but I am not sure what to make of now's scene but still pretty creative.

  • speak ENGLISH --if you can. "pigswill" ha... you are really funny and a little silly too. But that is ok because you have your right to an opinion. Try it and see if can do something creative.

  • WTF? MAGIC? LOL :P

  • Before you filled it with black the hand of the second character looked like a dogs head :P

  • lol...

  • Your sketching style is AMAZING.

  • looks a little rough, even for bristol. Using a Hunt 107? I used to use those, but I found a french nib that is AMAZING.

  • I wish I could draw like you

  • you can it takes a lot of dedication and tears==lol

  • what kind of pens r those n do u know if there any good for inking comics!???

  • Nibs and bottled ink---- yes perfect for comics. It was the original medium used before digital comic art

  • they're quill tips dipped in black india ink. they're awesome for comics

  • Those pens are really neat, but I think that scratching sound would drive me crazy. Great drawing by the way.

  • one question what inspires you to draw animals with human qualites please reply at my home page

  • started out good, but you got carried away and ruined it. I used to do that.

  • Maybe, it is only an experiment and it is not my favourite drawing. Some people will get something from seeing what I do in this work and some will not and that is cool too.

  • this is a really cool video! i just have 1 question, how did u get the ink to be a smooth black? like for example i just inked a sketch of mine 20 mins ago but theres like blotches or something there r some spaces where the ink is lighter than the ink on other parts of the sketch & i used the same type of ink for the whole thing, indian ink, y is my sketch like that? was it because my brush strokes were incorrect or perhaps the paint brush i used?(i need to buy that brush u got in the vid!)

  • The paper you use is very important if you want your lines to be smooth and ink even. You need to get Bristol paper made in England and all good art stores should have it or something very similar. The paper needs to be smooth and heavy in weight 150 gsm- 230 gsm. Rowney paper (from England) is a good paper for nib and inks. Be sure to use water proof ink that is of good quaility- Brushes are sable that I got on special-

  • Well, still not as bad as the fleets of military helicopters that fly over my house all hours of the day and night...im talkin Cobras, Apaches, Chinooks, Blackhawks, you name it...ugh

  • That sounds awful an the jumbo planes that go over my place every so often are so loud. The planes you have mentioned are extremely loud too, especially the helicopter type planes- They sometimes pop over late in the evening and they just hover, and they are very loud, Hard to get to sleep when they are around, Do you live near a military base ?

  • I live about 45 minutes away from it. The problem is my neighbor hood is directly under the flight path of the training runs they do. Sometimes they fly as low as treetop level and its like an earthquake

  • That would be unbearably loud- I do not see how you manage that type of decibel range. Very very loud...

  • Its really good, but why am I hearing fighter jets in the back ground?

  • it 's the airspace above my place and the Qantas flights that travel above me-

  • that looks nothing like me!!! just kiddin'. sweet cartooning, dude. nice nib inking, but i think you went overboard on the brushing. good drawing though!! i hope to see more of your vids

  • you should make a childrens book your good

  • thats really cool why did you skribble with teh pencil in the begging

    good video

  • Its a nib and the brand is 'hunt' and can be brought at art supply shops. I clean my brush with water and a little bit of soap. I then rinse the brush off carefully with water only and dab it onto a tissue

  • What pen tip are you using?? How do you clean up your brush when you are done?
