Actually, when she went to Pakistan during the last years of her life, it was to visit her lover's family. Those were very exciting trips for her and she was extremely hopeful, happy, and radiant. These trips were also after her divorce, so she was relishing in her new found freedom.

Actually, when she went to Pakistan during the last years of her life, it was to visit her lover's family. Those were very exciting trips for her and she was extremely hopeful, happy, and radiant. These trips were also after her divorce, so she was relishing in her new found freedom.
Thus, I disagree that there is any sadness in her eyes. She was full of joy and optimism during that period. But I agree with everything else you said!
