For those not familiar with British slang/terminology [I am for the record an American and looked these up], 'hair of the dog' means drinking more alcohol to treat a hangover, and a 'fry up' is simply a breakfast of fried food.

And by the way, I can't say as I've ever heard of those methods before - then again, I don't even drink!
