This movie is terrible. I heard the wrestlers all chipped in to make it hoping it would promote wrestling. I am a long time wrestling fan, but this film is almost unwatchable.
@Junkay2 I guess at that time you could say Ric Flair was still a "starving artist" before he ever became the limosine riding, jet flying, wheeling & dealing kiss stealing Nature Boy!
"Naitch" with dark hair! Much like "I Like to Hurt People", if you remove all the wrestling and interview scenes, this movie is totally unwatchable. Some scenes from a bloody Indian Strap Match between Wahoo McDaniel and Superstar Graham in this. By now, this may be available on DVD (don't hold your breath for a Blu-Ray version - LOL).
Billy Robinson and Verne Gagne talking about their match in The Wrestler while dining at the dinner table. A younger, brunette and sideburned Ric Flair before he became the blonde haired (WOOOOO!) Nature Boy we all know so well.

Is that really Ric Flair on the right? That looks nothing like him.

@ehealthy222 Flair started out wrestling at about 275 pounds, It wasn't until after the plane crash that he dropped down into the 240-245 range.

@ehealthy222 yes thats him, a few years before he had long bleach blonde hair and when he was a little more heavy.

Except for the nose, that doesn't look anything like the Ric Flair everyone knows. Not only does he have short, dark hair, but he's dressed modestly!
