This song was about Reese Roper's fiance from years ago who went down to Mexico while he was on tour. She then broke up with him for no apparent reason and crushed him utterly. I would be bitter too, and I always find it frightening how much Reese's experiences mirror my own in so many ways. I heard this when I needed it most, right after I had a painful break up. I was so happy when I learned that he finally got married to right woman
