  • can you send me your tileset please?

    thx

  • what version of photoshop u got?

  • IPS driver to site is not found! The site's been down forever! D= Need a new site =S

  • i absolotely love these vids how it goes from flat to 3d looking ^_^ perspective is a cool thing

  • This is amazingly beautiful.

  • Awesome big time man, like the way u did everything. Can U make a video of u explaning everything u are doing. I just start using parallaxing for my maps. And im so lost on it. Can U help me out please?

  • Man, that looks beautiful.

    Thanks.

  • thanks for doing this so redicilously fast so that beginning parallaxers have no clue what you are doing xD

  • Perfect,First Map done,Now the second one....Gosh Thats gonna take a while....

  • Will you be able to actually like...use it?

  • Looks awesome, just seems like it takes forevers :P

  • What's the size of your Photoshop document? And then I mean in pixels :3

  • @MrAtiebatie n x 32pixels to H and V

  • I'll stick with the RM mapping..... XD

But one question. When using the animated parallax script, can you make a short video play in the background? Say, if you wanted to use a cutscene made outside of rmvx, could you play that cutscene with the animated parallax?

  • @macandfriends Unless you're going to divide the video into frames and - uhh short answer, no.

  • @ILoveMyMatty hmm..... I do have plenty of free time for some frame making.... maybe not that much XD

    Thanks

  • @macandfriends There are scripts out there that let you play videos in VX you know.

  • wow!

i was just wondering , the beam that goes across the room ( 3:49 ), how would that stay above the player, since its a parallax wud you not walk over it?

great job by the way :)

  • What does parallaxing maps mean?

  • @SmashBroGameAndWatch Basically you make the map in a program such as Photoshop as shown in the video, then you import them into the game and set the maps background to the picture by selecting it under the parralax option ^^

  • Aha, I got it. I don't think I would have thought of that. Thanks!

  • Amazing! really helped me with my own parralax mapping :D thanx

  • FANTASTIC!!

  • ke programa usa?

  • Pienso que usa Adobe Photoshop 7? No soy tan suro, pero yo se es Adobe Photoshop... algo! Jaja.

  • This is art....

  • @MeepullStewray That's exactly what I was thinking.

  • WOW.

But wait. In the finished product, how do you get the characters to pass under the beams and lamps?

  • @mfbuxton You use a picture to make that happen.

  • @mfbuxton you have the things that appear over your character on a seperate picture without the things that are underneath the character and this is then set as a picture above the map and using originalwijs script for fixed pictures :D

  • @Drystark What about things that the character can walk around, like be in front of it one moment then behind it the next.

  • @mfbuxton You can copy the elements that you want to be displayed above the character, paste them into new image (the same size as the parallax) and make the rest transparent. Then just just use a common event (or a script) to display the image on the map. This way when the player walks through the beams, the image will cover that and make it look as if he went under them (when in reality he just walked over them on the parallax)

  • OMFG

    awsome

  • I love the details xD

  • As with pretty much all of your videos, I'm like "WTF is she doing?" And then you come out with a total masterpiece! XD

    Well done :)

  • you are a photoshop guru! all i can do is outline then turn into manga :) i wish i had your skills !

  • did you know, your absolutly amazing. i couldnt ever do this. x
