There's no singer in this version, although the original song is made by Johnny Cash. This is merely an instrumental remake for WET.

Actually, the original song is a traditional folk song, so it's really hard to track down it's origins. I can tell you that Cash didn't invent this song. I can also tell you however, that in my opinion, he recorded the best version of the song to date.
