I don't think it really matters who the people elect; everyone is susceptible to their own greed. It is all but inevitable that anyone we "send to Washington" to "fight for us" will get paid off or be influenced by money in some way. With this in mind, I do agree with your opinion that we are an "uneducated mass" and I believe that American citizens should spend a little more time trying to educate themselves about current issues and about the ideals/values of the candidates they elect.

I dont agree with most of what you are saying. It would not have mattered if we elected the "right" people they would have been bought out aswell. It's not like we can elect someone who hasn't been through law school. There a few people that run for these positions that will not be bought out.
