first, the standings prove a lot. its a way to keep each teams statistics and put the teams in order from best to worst. therefore, it clearly means something. second, who cares if they made it to the finals in 2004 and if the hawks havent since 1991. not a single player or coach from that 1991 team is with chicago now so that doesnt mean anything at all and all those years in between were with a retarded owner who is dead now. and third, i agree that teams play harder in playoffs. so doesnt
