Next thursday I will be on VS001 LHR-EWR, also a 747-400 (which one I don't know yet). Our seats will be in the same area yours was when you took the vids (maybe 1-2 rows in front) - and it will be premium economy (yahay!)
@LeeEvansOfficialTour Heck, I ain't no pilot. I just play one on the intarwebs based on all the movies I done sawded. Thanks for the info though. Is 20 degrees takeoff flap standard for all aircraft or just the 744 or just those specific met conditions?
@N756TA If the runway was long enough and enough power is given, they say you can fly a barn door, but points taken. I'm not a pilot. I just play one on teh intarwebs.
I love Virgin Atlantic have with them about 8 times to orlando great flights everytime friendly staff very comfortable flight and the inflight entertainment was first rate I would fly Virgin Atlantic again and again.
Awesome video, well done! I love Mustang Sally, the Virgin 747s are beautiful - my favourite! I wish they would send them to Sydney. Anyway nicely captured - cheers!
Thank you very much for your comment. Well, I know they fly to Sydney with an A340-600, which has a beautiful design too... and, compared to the 747, the A346 product is far superior...
I hope to see the A380 on virgin colors very soon - That will be fantastic!
Right but it's all about the amount of people wanting to fly isnt it? Why would they use an a340 if they didnt think they could fill a 747? And why do you think a lot of the asian airlines (cathay, china airlines, JAL etc) use large high-capacity planes even on short-haul routes.
I have the model of mustang sally but its the new livery, looks great though. im a great airline collector of all types of planes, and i happened to stumble across this plane model and bought it lol. great video.
hey my dad works for monarch airlines he is one of the top pilots and he earns load of money for doing flights to Orlando and my mum is a cabin crew for monarch airlines aswell and she gets paid well lol Ryanair are beggin my dad to work for them
Was there entertainment systems in the seats ,thanks.

I really wish children should have a nursery section on the plane for them alone to scream as much as they want then.........................

@LoSamZayin In a single engine piston plane, you can pull off departing with no flaps. The 747-400 can takeoff with less than 20.

Do you know the flight time, and what gate you left Heathrow?
Thank you James
773ER14 3 years ago
The flight time was almost 8:00Hrs. We arrived at JFK only one minute behind schedule. Besides, the two or three holding patterns over Norwich, CT.
The gate we left Heathrow, if I'm not wrong was the 19 on terminal 3.
diegogvieira 3 years ago
Thank you. Did you leave at 2pm in the afternoon and arrive in JFK at 4:40 in the afternoon?
773ER14 3 years ago
Correct. We landed at JFK 4:41pm.

bleh - I hate the A380. I like the A340, but you shouldn't compare it to the 747. Anyway I think your vid was great.
RedoutesChoice 3 years ago
they should have used there a340-300 for this route instead of the 747-400 because i thinck that the 747 should be used for a bit longer flight
