Sorry I'll clarify this. The dry fly has Ghink added. This is the floatant with a red top though the same company produce a sink version with a blue top. The sinkant I add is only to the tippet. This should sink or in quieter water fish see the tippet on the top and reject the fly. It is a mud based mix made with Fullers earth, glycerine and a wetting agent (a drop of washing up liquid). It was first used by the great Richard Walker.

Why are you using a sinking solution on with a dry fly? I am having trouble with what you called it.
