  • Gives a new meaning to kicking tail

  • Where is Valeri Dimitrov's gedan soto kakato geri?

  • Andy hug el mejor!!

  • That is Teken 7 :D

  • kenji medori (y)

  • Where's Feitosa's Brazilian kick?

  • Very enjoyable.

  • George St. Pierre's favorite Martial Art.

  • I'D RATHER HAVE ERNIE SHAVERS PUNCH ANY .DAY

  • So what happens when i punch in the face?

  • @Prisonofhopexxx "Accidentally" you're fine, purposely you end up losing the round. These are common Kumite rules, but you may find some tournies where it's allowed.

  • love these leg sweeps, next time we fight at class im trippin alot of ppl

  • OMG those knee kicks are ridiculous these guys will not be walking after the age of 40. It's very impressive but this style of sparring is a little foolhardy.

  • perfect music

  • The perfect Kyokushin fighter already existed. And his name was Mas Oyama. R.I.P.

  • This is extremely HARDCORE!!!!

  • and any defense?

  • and anytthing of defense?

  • look up Michael Jai White

  • i love how how they are able to head kick at such a close range its awesome

  • very different style ,,but i like it

  • Osu! kyokushin is the strongest

  • GREAT video !

    Osu!

  • Sanda should have became an olympic sport when China hosted the Olympics. This way Muay Tha, Kickboxers and Kyokushin fighters could compete in the sport.

  • That Ewerton Teixiera guy runs full speed and kicks people in the chest. Can't you kill people that way?

  • THIS SPORT WOULD BE BETTER IF THEY ALLOWED PUNCHES TO FACE.

  • @skywalker71903 A kick in the head from one of these guys is way worse than a punch to the face.

  • @mrbuttercup37 TRUE your right a kick can do more damage to face , But its a lot easier to land punch in face. But anyway I still say the sport - FULL CONTACT KARATE would be much better and more popular if they allowed punches to face.

  • @skywalker71903 More popular? Yes. Better? I'm not sure. I think it's nice to have a few martial arts sports that are dedicated to kicking.

  • @mrbuttercup37 OK how about one Karate league that displays kicking and One for Full Contact meaning punches to face. Just a idea. I remember the fighter who fought in kumite said something like this.Damn I forgot his name. But they made a movie on him BLOODSPORT with Van Dam. The story in movie is probally fake but the guy said something like that.

  • @skywalker71903 its called Kickboxing or K-1 if you want to go pro. kickboxing was a creation of karate to allow such rules. Under Kyokushin rules head punches are not allowed because it can lead to cuts way too easily and have blood everywhere since they are fighting bare knuckle.

  • @skywalker71903 It would certainly be just like Muay Thai. What's with the need to change everything into the same. There is a clear difference between using gloves and not using them. So it's not only about why not, but why?

  • Not really it takes away the skill. Anyone could punch someone in the face but it takes skill to do the same with a kick@ skywalker71903

  • to bad you see a lot of videos of a big fighter against a small fighter with the bigger kicking the ass of the smaller, really lame.

  • I WANT TO LEARN KYOKUSHIN KARATE....IM GETTING BORED IN TAEKWONDO....

  • Tina_Turner_-_Simply_The_Best

  • what is the name of the kick in 1:13? in the video says ashi barai but it is different

  • Andy Hug's axe kick is probably similar to dropping a cinder block on someone's chest. I'd rather pick the cinder block 0__o

  • there was an ultimate kyokushin fighter, his name was Andy Hug. R.I.P.

  • @wild13bt R.I.P

  • their legs are good, but they barely use arms and even when use them it seems like marking the punch rather than real punching

  • @dimonalmaty

if you ever been hit with one of those punches you would'nt say that

we are also traind to punch to the face but because in compertition we don't wear gloves it would be a blood bath

  • I just met and drank with Kazumi Hajime.

  • Very interesting sport.Very good video and music well apropriate. This is a good sport to start young with if you are interested in fighting... I'm not a karate kiokishin fan boy but I have respect for it.

  • Im thinking about taking this up for self-defense,how effective is it?

  • @BoxingBadBoy77 If you add your boxing with these skills, you got a hell of a chance of doing well in self defense.

  • all the techniques after the 5 min mark never even hit their target really. most of teh high kick hits a blocking elbow. e.t.cc

  • OSU!

  • Is the opponent in the dojo at 4:38 Andrews Nakahara of Dream FC?

  • Intorestingfrom the legs down 4:00 Tae Kwon do like!

AND 6:08 I works well if your the same size unless you target the gut wich turns out to just stun your oponent for a get away.

  • Kenji Midori !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • awesome stuff

  • 240-245 what the &%$#?

  • Kancho Shokei Matsui is the best..3 ultimate techniques

  • yoooo adriaaaaannnnnnnnnnn ! i didddd ittttttt ! i didddd ittt !

  • got to love that spinning hook kick

  • Thats real Kyokushin!!!

  • Lol, matsui is in at least 3 of the moves there.

That mean he was the closest to the ultimate fighter? xD

Nice vid. Love Filho's Yoko Geri's.

  • ÉPIC ROCKY MUSIC. It was in the fourth one i think. ROcky vs The Soviet. Big ass gym vs....the nature and the butterflies

  • Why not Emil Kostov's punches?

  • What is song???

  • very very nice video! Thanx!!! Osu!

  • mawashi geri head kicks are really hard - this is great!

  • Watching Hitoshi Kiyama's axe kick made me remember how powerful of a weapon it truly is, i really gotta work on mine

  • @rileyfeisty Every moce in karate is powerful if performed and timed perfectly.

remember a tsuki to the throat full force or a mae geri to the liver. It's all timing and execution. Oyama was a true master in this.

  • I woundt just want one, I would like all if I could lol

  • Impresionantes guerreros Kyokushin, fantástico el vídeo, están lo mejor de lo mejor un saludo y un fuerte

    abrazo desde España.

    ¡¡¡ O S U !!!

  • first song name

  • Thank you.

  • What is the name of second song?

  • Nice music, cool video, i like it.

    Osu from Ukraine.

  • wow that ashi barai is amazing looks rly cool

  • No disrespect to Nakamura, but I would prefer to have Sosai's punch and godly hand techniques. :)

  • OSU!!

  • You forgot about Brasilian Kick ;)

  • @GalfordPW

    whats a Brasilian Kick ;)???

  • @diamondcalves its when you feign a front kick to the chest or abdomen but instead go for a roundhouse kick to the head

  • a great video

  • Very nice.

However... no mention of THE ultimate kyokushin fighter IMHO: Royama Hatsuo Shihan, for his gedan mawashi geri or complete martial system. Also, where is Howard Collins Shihan, whose picture was chosen by Sosai to illustrate the chapter on courage in "the Kyokushin Way"?

    Respectfully Osu !

  • ossu!

  • I would add Michel Wedels timing and Michael Thompsons footwork to this list of ideal fighter attributes .

  • where is the akira masuda's left gedan ?he defeat yamaki and midori with this

  • How about any one of the listed fighters timing?

  • osu . hey dude, we lack some chita tsuki here ;)

  • OSSU!!!!

  • andy hug will always be a legend

  • Craig. I always though that Andy Hug was Swiss, not American.

  • yer me to actuely. =-)

  • @SugarTomAppleRoger he is swiss, i even train in the same dojo he used to train in!

  • BadBlue. Really. Is it in Zuerich?

  • @SugarTomAppleRoger no, it's not in zurich, it's in luzern/lucerne, 20 km's away from zurich :P

  • lol, theres a video where he executes an axe kick, but matsui dodges it and gives andy a low kick while andy's standin on one foot, yet andy doesnt even fall! amazin. andy is legend. osu

  • did you know that kyokushin was made by Korean??

  • yes, so?

  • osu!!!

  • Lechi Kurbanov:) ist super best!

  • Comment removed

  • If you could make the ultimate Kyokushin fighter what techniques would they have ?

That would be a straight punch to the face :)

  • Comment removed

  • hahah lol,i get your point, but they still teach it ;)

  • between two kyokushin brothers? No. But between an asshole who fucks with a kyokushin karateka, yes. down goes the asshole.

    respect and power man.

    Osu

  • @tru3power lolllll Yeah but without glove that would hurt a bit ,no?! :)

  • kyokshin is number 1 in kick and hand

  • @dridba I beg to differ; olympic taekwodno has the best kicks in the business, and even George St Pierre just admitted that taekwodno had the best spinning back kick in martial arts, and GSP has a Kyokusin background. Maybe because Mas Oyama incorporated many influences from Korean arts into Kyokushin, is why Kyokushin is as good as it is relative to a more stiff art like Shotokan?

  • @seanyglass Because they practice them regularly. Kyokushin students tend to, not always, but tend to focus on more direct line attacks. The talent pool for spinning kicks in Olympic TKD is deeper because more of them focus on it. I'll also disagree with Oyama bringing korean arts to Kyokushin, Oyama himself was Korean, but with the exception of boxing his skills were Japanese. He admits to the thigh kick being from Tailand and heaps praise, but never mentions Korean styles.

  • @dridba yes it is!

  • cant believe kancho matsui can land back to normal fighting stance after his ushiro, its like nothin can block it. lechi kurbanovs is amazing too, but a bit risky due to the fall

  • i feel sorry for the little guy that has to fight the big solid tall guy..the only way to win would be pure aggression and "phychopathic evil im gonna fuckin kill you mode" otherwise you dont stand a chance.

  • axe kick is uroshi geri

  • Nice video! The only change I would make is to replace Hitoshi's axe kick with Andy Hug's axe kick.

  • 1:06 is sick..

  • HEY PEOPLE! PLEASE SUB MY CHANNEL NEW VIDEOS UP SOON! aand EVERYBODY ADD ME AS YOUR FRIEND PLEASE! Comment NOW i'll do it back!! -Peace!!

  • To Brianc692: Please, what's the name of that song that plays first in this video and who performed it? I've always liked it.

  • It is from the soundtrack of Rocky iV. It is called 'Training Montage' by Vince Dicola.

  • Thanks. It would be good workout music.

  • i do ground work and im a black belt tang soo do and my own version of jeet kune do

  • First fighter was Nakamura, wasn´t it?

  • Search Andy Hug! he is an awsome fighter!

  • was*

  • OSU!

  • OSU! from senshi do scotland

  • Midori Kenji: those are Mikazuki Geri, not Mae Geri, I think.

  • oh yea kyokushin ownage hard mean i luv it!!!!

  • i am a kickboxer and mixed martial artist i like the fighting style of them

    these roundkicks are awesome!

  • yes! so do heaps of stretching! and learn the jodan mawashi geri! it will surely help you in your martial arts career! cause the jodan mawashi geri is unprodictable yet very devistating! you can knock ppl out with it! goodluck freind

  • osu! I am working on stretching between the pulled muscles ... lol. I am doing the stretches correctly, it just has been a long time since I Kyokushin last and worked out too. This time I am focused on getting a shodan and greater. Once I get my flexibility back that I had in the 90s, I am going to work on the feigned chudan\gedan to jodan mawashi geri. I noticed that to be one of the most effective techniques. When permitted, the spinning backfist is good too. Yes, I need to work on my..

  • Yes, I still need to work on my Japanese.

  • OSU! good for you! i am only a beginer but i really focus on technique and allways listen carefully to what my instructer teaches me... i too am trying to become more flexible, and learn that combo!! so good luck and keep pushing it! as i will do the same! osu!

  • I think a half decent BJJ/Kyokushin Fighter would me mince meat of the BJJ/Thai Boxer

  • Under Who's rules LOL........ BJJ under Kyokushin rules would be rubbish. Kyokushin under BJJ rules probably would be too. same with kick boxing. It all depends on the Induvidual fighter not which style they do anyway.

  • Well that depends on the fighter. If your fighter makes a mistake, lights out. And if they go to the ground, sure jiu-jitsu (BJJ is so wrong) will give that person the edge but if the Kyokushin fighter can over power the jiu-jitsue fighter then that edge may decrease. All the kyokushin fighter has to do is make sure they do not get into a lock or choke hold. Stamina and strength wise, the Kyokushin fighter will or should have the edge.

  • I agree 100% with what you just said!

  • I like Kancho Matsui's Ashi Barai. I hope we do more strikes to the head in the future because in a real street fight not only should we learn how to protect ourselves but also strike with fists to the head as well. I know Kyokushin-kan is experimenting with strikes to the head rules now. The fighters must wear gloves and mouth pieces which is the only padding. I know why it was made illegal but you fight the way you practice.

  • That is so true.

  • Nothing beats great 80's music to use for a video

  • agreed!

  • Great video of pure kyokushinkai legends.

But i remember you had very powerfull kicks man

Allways enjoyed it when you put us through our paces

at Scone Katana KyokushinKAI happy days.

And congratulations on your shodan Sempai Osu.

  • kourbanov is the best.

  • Song is from Rocky IV

  • whoa i hope GSP kicks BJ to the ground like that, but that probably won't happen. haahha

  • What is the song and from who ?

  • 11) fuck yourself

  • 12) who cares bout him, people that try and think they are hard by naming all the style they "think" they know are actually weak in real life... real fighters stick to one diciplin and learn the techniques correctly.

  • I agree and disagree with you. I agree that real fighters learn correct technique but real fighters learn many styles. Sosai was a black belt in a few styles before founding Kyokushin. Kyokushin is great for building body, mind, and OSU spirit. As well as great in a stand up fight. However it severely lacks ground fighting and we may have problems if taken to the ground either in tackle, sweep, or flip. I have four martial arts that I would like to earn shodan or better in.

  • Yes i understand what your saying, Of course its good to have other techniques. I myself am training kyokushin karate and Combined Martial Arts which inludes Muay Thai Kickboxing and BJJ. But i dont rush around trying to learn every technique from every style in the world, That would take an entire lifetime to know the techniques correctly. I personally beleive the techniques will never be as solid compared to just practising MMA and kyokushin twice a week for 5 years, osu!

  • Sounds like you are on the right track!

    Osu!

  • i think its good to take something that compliments what your doing, i train kyokushin karate, and i desperately want to learn judo. i feel that the combination of throwing techniques, and ground work, combined with with the ability to parry and strike could be devastating.

its always best to master the the techniques though instead of jumping threw a whole bunch.

... there are millions of fighting techniques, a master only needs one.

  • Total Win.

  • Awesome video

  • 1) Muay Thai Kickboxing 2) Kyokushinkai Karate 3) Wing Chun 4) Aikido 5) Shorinji Kempo 6) Wado Ryu 7) Hapkido 8) Sambo 9 Japanese Jiu Jitsu 10) Judo 11) Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
  • ¡?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿
