It's always awful when a predator kills your chickens. I had two babies last year, just three or four weeks old, and a stray cat got into the henhouse and killed them. The cat ate half of one chick and didn't even nibble on the other, like the cat was just killing for sport or out of meanness, which really ticked me off. The cat was dumb enough to come back after I'd set my cage trap the next day, and I made damn sure that that cat would never kill a chick again.

@BloodyBay We think that she got stolen by a neighbor, as they have always been interested in them.. but atleast shes safe, they always pull a face at me when they see me, so itll be interesting to know.
@chickencrazy001 It's still a raw deal that someone would steal a chicken from a neighbor. It would be so much better if they bought their own chicks and asked you for tips on how to raise them, but I guess some people just can't be bothered to be friendly and social like that.
They'd have to be keeping your hen somewhere outdoors. How much of their property can you see from your house?
Oh they are soo sweet. Im soo sorry for ur loos. I had some teenagers get in my back yard and smash the heads of my to baby's. They were hand raised and did not run away..I was soo upset I called the coops. I now have another 4 and I run a small rescue for chicks and chickens. I hope u all are ok.
How sad. How could kids feel it was right to hurt another being. Really sad. They say if kids are mean to animals, they may have something else seriously wrong with them mentally.
