  • that ending!!! that's the melody for "bicycle" which is my favorite song by her! well, besides surgeon :)

  • She's listened to Beefheart, some, don't you think?

  • YOUR skin is so fair, it's not fair...

  • chillest drummer, ever.

  • Absolutely brilliant! What an amazing performance. Very inspirational as well!! :-)

  • Fucking. Awesome. I love this woman. Like....as an artist. No, really. She's brilliant and she rocks out like nobody's business.

  • she needs to keep ths drummer

  • my bowie girl, amo muito, haha

  • She has beautiful eyes. Oh, and she is incredibly talented. Oh and another thing, she is the best, ever.

  • Is that andrew bird?

  • @100grapes no.

  • Does anyone know how she gets that guitar effect at 4:45? Where the repeats are an octave higher than what she's playing, at least I think? I've been trying to find out everywhere :(

  • @ParthofthePigeons It might be a clever trick: if you can split the signal into two different tracks, then route one to a delay pedal and set it to all "wet" (i.e. no original sound), then run that to an octaver, and run the track you didn't run through the delay through whatever else you wanted, you could probably make it work. Some amps have two inputs, as well, so you could "recombine" them.

  • @SeverEveryLeg I can see how that would work, and I think I'm going to try it soon, but I don't think that's what she does. None of her pedals are stereo so they can't be split, at least I think they aren't.

  • @ParthofthePigeons You can achieve it with a delay pedal with and fx loop (like the ehx deluxe memory boy), and something like an ehx pog or mini pog in the fx loop of the delay. that way, only the repeats are processed by the pog (or anything else you plug in there).

  • @shortsleevesmsc I think I got it, thanks!

  • @ParthofthePigeons It's an eventide pitchfactor, the crystals effect

  • @halfcrackedboy Does the eventide cause the delay as well?

  • @ParthofthePigeons

Yea it does all the affects are fully adjustable from delay to fuzz to feedback to resolution etc. You could spend so much time working on your own tweeked sound. I have that pedal it was the best purchase i have ever made for my pedal board.

  • :'(

  • I love her smile after the drummer does the sweet hi-hat fill at 4:03.

  • I'm seeing her live in November :) it was only 10 british pounds for a ticket!!! thats crazy!! and people will pay ten times more to see some shit act! like Cheryl Cole!! whoops!

  • 3 people have zero taste

  • Amid all the filth in the music industry today, all I can say is - Thank God for Annie Clark,

  • she moves so fast. i swear it's fast forward sometimes

  • Frig, I listed to her 4yr old solo dumbo session and though I had found something great b4 the world BUT too late..

  • Where can I get the audio for this?

  • this woman is 90% genius and 10% cheekbones

  • @Imshotmate so. true.

  • It's like Audrey Hepburn and Nina Gordon had a secret love child....

  • this version gives the album version a sympathetic shrug, as if to say "hey kid, you tried."

  • I love this woman! LA AMOO! SU MUSICA E LO MEJOL'! she's a genius!

  • Sounds kinda like a Bjork song. In a good wy.

  • This is the song that made me a fan of St. Vincent; I saw this on OPB in 2009 when they did the Austin City Limits program. The look, the sound, the band unpretentious. There is hope for the (musical) future !!!! Thanks for the upload.

  • Alternative doesn't even cover it, and I love it!

  • I would pay hundreds of dollars, and an arm and a leg, to see this woman.

  • I love the drummer. At first, he looks like he's about twelve and wearing that Mr. Rogers cardigan, but when it's his time, he's wild. Very intriguing! Very talented. You're all great!

  • this is awesome

  • She's SO got Purple Rain hair.

  • this is fucking music, love it

    i went crazy at 1:40

  • I like the original tuning of the song (in C). It was darker. This version (in D) is too uplifting.

  • TAKE

  • Man let me tell ya ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,she the coolest !!! 1111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111

  • her fingers are so beautiful

  • this is way beyond awesome!

  • @camillemiller cannot explain it better

  • This rocks, what a great talent !

  • STOP BRINGING UP "THAT OTHER POP ARTIST" TO THE COMMENTS IN HER VIDEOS. PRETTY SURE ANNIE WOULDN'T APPRECIATE IT. YES, WE KNOW ALREADY, THIS IS GOOD MUSIC.

  • who can compete with her not gaga or kesha lmao this is sound is like so hard undiscribe its genius mozart status

  • A head-banging violinist? Never seen that before. But then again, Ms. Clark DOES make the impossible happen. Finally, a band that's receiving the recognition it deserves!

  • YEAAAAAAAAAH !

  • she. is. godly

  • @tinyxylophone she is a temple harlot in the sanctum of satan performing heiros gamos on unwitting souls.

  • @tinyxylophone beautiful.

  • How'd they get Bill Gates on drums?

  • @jrpell100 He does appear to be wearing a Bill Gates/ Mr. Rogers type of sweater here.

  • she's crazy on guitar

  • I wanna keep hearing you for the rest of my life, so it's a perfect deal! Shai.

  • I want her.

  • kjlfdals;kjfs just how I remember it when I saw her live. love her

  • She was so awesome at this taping. I was glad I got tics to this one!

  • The female Jack White? Not in terms of musical style, but the way they use a combination of effects to get a unique sound out of a guitar.

  • this is some great quality video here

  • Absolutely brilliant. It's really sad the pin-headed radio stations aren't making as big a noise about St. Vincent as they are about lesser acts like say Yeah Yeah Yeahs. This will not do.

  • I agree. people are too greedy to see real talent right in front of em! people with lesser musical tastes seem to always be calling the shots! How could one not be smitten with her talent and beauty?

  • Amazing, thank you! Will try and make a dvd out of these videos.

  • 6:16 I stick my pinky out like that too. Not a good habit, I must say XD

  • Amazing!...thank you!!

  • No idea, but I'll try uploading all the vids to megaupload or a similar service, and if I do I'll post the links here.

  • @darekhimself Thank you SOOOOO much for the link......You rule!

  • @darekhimself oh wonderful!! have u uploaded them?

  • Amazing video, thank you very much for posting.

Do you know know why it won't appear when I search for it on my iPod Touch? I really want to save it to that for offline viewing and the other ACL videos come up in the search, but not this one. Weird.

  • Your lips are red...because your face just got SHRED

  • gotta love such clever negativity! why do people think their opinion is sooo important they just cant help but to put down music others might love? probably cuz they are selfishly inclined and mama didnt love em enough to teach em any better! what a loser that cant even see it!
