@C130RAAF wrong, FS1 came out on the Apple II first back in jan 1980 which was from SubLOGIC (a few years away from the Mac). then followed a port to the TRS-80 in march of 1980
Microsoft obtained the license to port it to the PC
Microsoft flight sim 1.0 came out in 1982 for the IBM compatible PC (still a few years away from the Mac)
open your wings youl get more lift on takeoff set to two it will give you lift and keep the speed right for takeoff :) loveing the tomcat amazing plane :) great effects
9dxfan, I Only like the Combat Flight Simulators, most Notably the ones based on World War 2, when you could be an American Pilot & You could chose any plane, like the (German/Nazi) Messerschmitt ME-262 Schwalbe, which was an Operational Fighter Jet, Capable of Flying over 100mph faster than the top speed of the P-51, it had a longer range because it was so much faster, it was lighter, more manuverable...it was a FAR Superior Aircraft...
i agree , if you run the right computer and what not you will be fine . Im running 3 SLI cards and 12 gig memory . Im loving FSX and all the downloads for it. Oh yeah i have a real radio stack , yoke and rudder pedals and everything else i need . GET A BETTER COMPUTER
@lvtunerz since if written that comment iv installed a geforce 9800 gtx 512mb and a wicked 550 wat power supply and i get about 30 fps on ultra high in area 51 and about 15 in cities like chicago and heathrow so my computer is vurtualy a gaming computer now
hehe you guys know whats sad? my computer only had 1.0 ghz and 6150 geforce before i got an upgrade and my upgraded system cant play it as well as my old one. although all my other games play better. you think FSX would work on a macintosh II? lolololz
When i first played FS i thought "Wow thats so real" now those kind of graphics are absolet but i'm sure that in 20 years i'll remember FS X and think the same...
Those were the days when people actually finished adventure games before another version got out :)
woah how did u keep fps up so high even though ur comp, as you say, is meager? I have quad core and Geforce 9600 and 3GB RAM and cannot get same FPS as u... ne way great vid!
Ya, I don't understand it. I installed the game on my quad 3GHz Xeon-based Mac Pro with 4GB RAM and an ATI X1900 XT - a far more powerful system than the one I used for this vid - and it doesn't really seem any smoother than this 3.2GHz P4.
I did get the SP1 patch for FS X and the latest Nvidia drivers for the 6600 GT just before filming this, FYI.
hehe the graphics were veryyy bad but uk what can u expect from an old game? i have flight simulator x, omg such a difference lol. especially with tht fighter jet, haha crazy graphic change lol! great vid buddy, keep em coming
