You could always just use Windows Movie Maker. But eBay sells it pretty cheap.
I'm going to get Sony Vegas 9 though. It's much more in-depth and a bit easier to use too (for example, Pinnacle won't let you move clips along the timeline and if you put a new clip in, it just overlaps the previous clip whereas Sony Vegas doesn't have that problem)
