Those are wingtip smoke winders aka smoke generators that take fuel and dump it unburnt in the air to add to the visual effects.

NO matter what other nation says about our Tejas, but for me only one thing is enough and that is the Test Flights are being conducted in our country & by our very own Pilot. Also in news channels its shown without mentioning someone's else courtesy. JAI HIND.

Ignorant asses say that it is failed concept..i don't get it it is highly maneuverable..can launch bombs , missiles whatever, difficult to get detected by radar kinda semi- stealth ,,, its fuckin better than MIG 21...has to prove its metal in combat yet..what basis they call it failure... they are developing mk2 version of this ,, if it was failure they wouldn't have thought of this..JF - 17 JOINT FAILURE -17 is what you call a FAILURE!!!

@neerajguy2001 Yeah tejas has arrived..........but we need no more delays.This is a fine beast,which we need at our frontiers.No doubt its a mean machine,with various missiles,bombs,guidance package and modern avionics,but we need more like these to teach those mind fucked hypocrites living in our neighbor and always conspire to conquer the world under one religion.With weapons like these I can shout at my foes..........BRING IT ON.

@neerajguy2001 LCA has taken 25 years for its development and it still not fully operational even after its induction. IAF has inducted LCA for its face saving and making fool its nation. The Tejas was supposed to have replaced the Mig 21s, MiG23s and MiG27s 20 years ago. The Tejas has yet to reach production status.

Difficulties are with flight controls & power plant continues to be plagued with technical difficulties, the worst of which is its engine which is not providing required thrust.

It has taken 25 yrs development because it's not a stolen tech like your chinese are using.. it's taking late because IAF is not hurrying too much; because IAF's specifications and minimum requirements kept on changing. We have incorporated some advanced techs in the LCA and also three different variants are being worked upon.. and talk about engine.. you yourselves are using russian engines..

@bestfighterpilot Worst part about JF-17 is that Pakistan has provided NOTHING in development besides 250 mil. $ funding but still keep about dancing with their "DREAM MACHINE"...we've provided avionics to the Su-30MKI which is more than what pakistan gave to JF17... but do inform me if you're atleast manufacturing tyres for JF-17
