Cinema rarely reaches the visual, musical and emotional heights this film does. Every time I watch "The Lion King," two things happen: 1) I cry, and 2) I'm reminded why it is one of the biggest films of all time. 9:02 Most epic cross-dissolve ever. All hail to the King!
yeah but scar was trying to save himself, he didn't know that the heyanes could hear everything. He was trying to make them te enemy in Simba's eye, so Scar would survive
I remember cheering on simba when he fought scar. I remember booing at Ursela when she took Arieal's voice. I remember fighting the Huns with Mulan. I remember the wind through my hair, running by Pocahontas. I remember being locked in the Beast's castle. I remember laughing and having fun with Mickey and his friends. I don't remember watching teen drama on stupid disney channel Copy and paste this to all your favorite Disney Videos and let's start a revolution. Disney forever.
like how scar tries to look like hes liking, also has anyone else noticed how scar has dug his claws into simba to stop him falling yet hes not got a scartch on them when he pins scar to the fall?
So Scar was torn to shreds by a horde of hungry hyenas.
... Damn, Disney, however did I manage to grow up and NOT be scarred for life after a childhood spent watching you movies and the, when you think about it, pretty violent deaths of their villians?
(Personally, I think it's the songs that balanced it all out quite nicely ^_^)
Gosh. How old is Rafiki? He held new-born Simba above his head at front of Pride Rock and then years later, he holds Simba's cub (later revealed daughter Kiara) above his head at front of Pride Rock. And you know what's funny? He doesn't look like he's aged at all! :P
i like to cry tears of joy when the ROAR!!on the path unwinding in the circle the circl of livvvve!!!!to bad for u big mouth scar u said the hyenas did it and they betrayed u because u betrayed them and your own family so that is were hatred and betraying gets u
You know what's so special about the ending of The Lion King? It's that even though the final part is 3 words "it is time", the events and the music tell the ending of the story and makes it perhaps the most powerful ending in history, as well as it being a very powerful opening also.
I dont know if you guys noticed, but at 8:49, if you look closely, you can see one of the stars brighten as mufasa says "remember"-- possibly a subtle meaning of order being restored since it seems mufasa is taking his rightful place as well...gotta love disney and their little objects of symbolism :)
Disney is a lioness, trapped in a world of ravenous, idiotic Beiber/Montana fans, led by a money-mad tyrant who cares for financial gain above doing the right thing.
What Disney needs is a Simba. Someone who was raised by the life-lessons in these films. Someone who remembers their home and runs back to save it before it's too late.
I am a guy of 31 years who has a son at 3 years and this movie is played as many times you'd think it was lies and son love it ....
But can sku just do not understand why it is always the second farm to sit and cry because if it was just me who only lift my son up in the way the world will also bykke for he ...
Will do everything it could happen to it deserves my little son sku he's my little nugget
I took my son to the theater to watch this classic and I unexpectedly got tears in my eyes when Simba walks up to claim his throne. Such a powerful moment and the music is so triumphant. Awesome movie.
Scar couldn't help himself, the deja vu was too good for him to resist. If he never tells Simba (who was a indifferent, disillusioned heir), Simba would never have had to motivation to be king.
ok, who else thought seeing the Simba/Scar throwdown on the big screen again, in 3D, was utterly AWESOME? but that's always been one of my favorite scenes.
lol, same here. i even got a little misty when Mufasa died, just like i did back in 94 when i was 5. as if i haven't seen this movie a billion times since then. but this will always be a stone cold classic.
if i were Valedictorian of my class i would want the same music that plays when simba walks up pirde rock to play when i walked up to the stage to give my graduation speech
I still dont get why scar admitted it, he could have just yelled "HELP ME!" instead of "I killed Mufasa" and the hyenas would have attacked... Evil villains tend to have blonde moments.
@PraiseOdin Because villains always want to be credited with the genius of their plan. As a rule, one of their main personality traits (read: flaws) is narcissism, which is usually why they become evil.
remember when siskel and ebert said that this movie was worse than aladdin and the little mermaid... I just cant comprehend it when I see this scene!!
I remember back in June when my College prep class was having a really slow day. Seriously, nothing to work on. So my teacher suggested that we all watch TLK. Our faces lit up instantly, all except for one. My best friend Matt's girlfriend outrighted hated The Lion King with a burning passion and openly admitted to thinking it was a shitty movie.
We all turned around in our chairs and stared at her as if she was mentally insane. Moral of the story: Don't mock this movie. Ever.
