You know what's so special about the ending of The Lion King? It's that even though the final part is 3 words "it is time", the events and the music tell the ending of the story and makes it perhaps the most powerful ending in history, as well as it being a very powerful opening also.

I dont know if you guys noticed, but at 8:49, if you look closely, you can see one of the stars brighten as mufasa says "remember"-- possibly a subtle meaning of order being restored since it seems mufasa is taking his rightful place as well...gotta love disney and their little objects of symbolism :)

I remember back in June when my College prep class was having a really slow day. Seriously, nothing to work on. So my teacher suggested that we all watch TLK. Our faces lit up instantly, all except for one. My best friend Matt's girlfriend outrighted hated The Lion King with a burning passion and openly admitted to thinking it was a shitty movie.
