Actually I am not sure if Yoshi Egg works because I don't know where to find it. I have an extended ROM and a non-extended ROM. I used both ROMS for Boo Key, Boo Key Display, and Tiny Ice Bully but they don't seem to work.

I had 2 game shark pros on my N64. The first one completely electronically failed after a couple days (wouldn't even load, might as well have stuck a blank cartridge in the machine), the second one failed (and in the same way) after about a month. Is this insanely high "full failure" rate common with game sharks or other hardware cheat devices on N64?

@BankaiIchigo12345 It was a big problem due to the cartridge getting knocked or crashing during saving. But the NES was also a problem.

Well I never knocked the cheat device or game cartridge durring saving any games or while perfoming cheats. However the fact that the cartridge is crooked shouldn't really fry the circuit, just make the game temporarily glitch and at worst require a power off/on cycle to fix. What did they do wrong with their circuits in the Gameshark to make it so electronically fragile? Was this fixed in later versions of the GS, or was it a constant problem?

@BankaiIchigo12345 It's a problem with them being such large cartridges and then having also a game cartridge connected. Cartridges requiring such good connections and if that's not so the chip(s) can be damaged by a surge. Also, relying on firmware that can easily be corrupted didn't help.

Also, they don't make GS for N64 anymore, so this guy's in the video must have survived for YEARS since he bought it. How did he make it last so long? On a related note, I have a similar device on my SNES called UFO Super Drive Pro which has a cheat feature called XTerminator which uses AR cheats just like the Gameshark on N64. It also can back up games to floppy disk (which can then be played on an emu) and backup battery-saves to keep from losing the saves when battery dies.
