Oh my God. I was in 3rd year high school and we had a military bivouac, this religous song was sung by my Girls classmate accompanied by an acoustic guitar at the campfire. The title of this song is Hosea (Come Back to Me).

This song made me cry as it reminded me of our Parish Father, Fr David Thexeira who was being called home by our heavenly Father last night. May the soul of Fr David rest in peace, be reunited again with God in heaven.

"Hosea" was written by Gregory Norbert, OSB, a Catholic monk in the Benedictine order. I used to sing this song back in the '70s. I have always loved this song as I love reading Hosea. God bless you. Nice work.

I love this song. However, you have the words incorrect. The song says..living deeply our new life. I am about to sing this at my mother in laws memorial service. I had been singing this song and loved it...then it was sung at my aunt's funeral and Holy Water was sprinkled on her casket as it was song...suddenly I knew the song had another meaning that I had not realized.

Thank you for posting this song, it has always been my favorite. Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought this song is about the story of Hosea.  His wife commited adultery and this song speaks of how he forgives her. If you listen to the lyrics they really apply well to this song. I've always loved this song because most hymns are about Gods love for us, but this song shows humanity and how God wants us to forgive one another no matter what.
