It's interesting reading these comments. Lots of association with "loneliness" and "calming" etc. I don't find this song to be lonely or depressing at all. I find it to be very invigorating. The whole song is the audio representation of 'becoming' invigorated. Small and slow at first, and then a jump, then a leap. Dancing on those piano notes. Feels like nature too. Walking through the woods with the light coming down on you. I was always confused by the loud "ZzzzzzzzzTTT!!!" at 3:54 though...

@yoinkz Well, I think ppl sometimes just underestimates the value of being with yourself. Everybody wants to feel better being around ppl, but they dont know themselves that much. And I do think thats why there so many negative views on this kind of music (but sometimes what society tells you that is good its not good, take a look at justin bieber, moms and society likes em but he blows).

tl;dr: I think its just a matter of having the courage to be with yourself and enjoy it.

For me though, I think I've built up some kind of defense in case someone criticize me for not doing anything or if I mess up, so I can say, "I don't like society, and I've got a whole lot of reasons for it." I don't think I've made this CONSCIOUSLY, I think I feel so vulnerable so I've created a ego consisting of "I'm this thinking person who is smart enough to realize that society is crap", and I surround myself with that kind of philosophy..
