  • Thanks for the tips , I will use them wisely. I am about to do my L3 auditions so your video's are helping me along in my journey ! Many thanks for sharing.

  • Your auditions are are real inspiration. Loved the relationship you have with your horse.

  • @matilda19 Thanks Matilda. Glad that we can help inspire you on your own journey. I love the look on Mystic's face during this video. Thinking back, the additional advice I would give is slow down, ask softer, wait longer, accept less, reward more often, cherish the try and the offer, whether it is what you thought of or not. Partners appreciate each other's ideas. For years I was too demanding. That creates tension and kills try. Looking forward to seeing you with your horse.

  • I've just started level 1 with my off the track TB...This is very inspiring! great job.

  • @PeaceOfSanFrancisco Thanks for the comment. Glad you enjoyed watching me with my Mystic son. If your off the track TB is impulsive learning stick to me on the ground, first on line and then at liberty, is going to be the key to getting downward transitions without pulling on reins. Enjoy your journey.

  • Received by email: I'm in England so a little far away to visit, but I just think its amazing the work you do with the horses

  • Received by email: A friend of mine (who actually taught me natural horsemanship) passed along the youtube video of you and Mystic doing your level 3 free style test. I just had to email you!

Mystic reminds me so much of my gelding! Such similar faces! He's out of Coquetta la Estrella x Contrapunto Segundo, gray, and other than Mystic having a thicker mane and tail, they are very similar! Even the expressions, and movements! I just loved watching you two!

  • Received by email: Jackie,

Loved your Freestyle on u-tube...gonna share it with my friends!

I can see how the trick training fits right in.

  • When you sit on the therapy ball, if you lose your balance, the ball will roll and "buck" you off. To maintain your balance on the ball, you have to activate your core muscles, pulling in your belly button and make micro adjustments to stay balanced. You do the same thing on the horse when riding bareback without stirrups. Your lower spine is a spring that adjusts for the horse's movement - if you are balanced. Sitting and bouncing on the ball helps you learn to do that - away from the horse.

  • Gorgeous audition! I stayed up a whole two hours past my bed time to watch your videos! Can you elaborate a little bit on how you use the exercise ball to improve core strength? (I mean for the human to be practicing when not riding?)

  • @klwycoff123 Thanks for the lovely comment. Glad you enjoyed watching me play with my equine kids.

  • @mysticpasos haha thats what Mom was saying! And I've been practicing a bit. I can also feel my self confidence improving too! That's always been a huge issue. That could be why my form isn't great and Im not amazing at the dramatic sighing. Just another thing these lessons are helping me improve!

  • This is amazing!! Thanks for sending it to me!!

  • @HORSEZZZZZzzzzz96 Great meeting you and your Mom Lyndsey. I hope that you enjoyed Mystic and natural horsemanship even more in person than when watching the videos. Hope to see you back at the ranch soon.

  • @mysticpasos

Im enjoying these lessons so much! I've learned more from 2 lessons than I did in two months at that other place. The only thing that bugs me is that my lessons are only once a week. Im still working on my balance even as Im typing!

  • @HORSEZZZZZzzzzz96 Glad you got the therapy ball and are using it. Your balance was much better this lesson and will only get better as your core gets stronger from sitting on the ball. That will pay off big time when you ride. When you don't need to squeeze with your legs to hold on, your seat and legs can carry on a conversation with the horse -" let's go there." "That is perfect." "Pick up this gait." You provide the brains and Mystic becomes your body, moving in harmony with you.

  • @HORSEZZZZZzzzzz96 Lindsey, just wanted to tell you how pleased I was with your progress during your last lesson on Mystic. Your balance continues to improve and your body language is becoming clearer to him. Keep using your therapy ball and practice pulling in your belly button to your spine to straighten your back. It is great that you have such a loving, supportive family cheering you on as you learn natural horsemanship. See you next Saturday!

  • RECEIVED BY EMAIL. I just watched your Level 3+ youtube and was very entertained, educated, and impressed so I wanted to let you know that you and your gray horse are a joy to watch. You are a beautiful rider and your horse is nicely balanced and responsive, while remaining calm and focused. I used to have an Icelandic and I hope I don't offend you but your horse reminded me of him.

    Thanks so much for sharing!

  • Nice !!!

  • @eharstrom2003 Glad you enjoyed watching it. I loved the Liberty audition you did with your Palomino. Beautiful relationship and communication. You just danced together.

  • I Have A Gymkana Event On Sunday Hopfully Waching This Helps A Little.

  • Fabulous! inspiring and gave me lots of ideas for mine which I hope to tape before summers end. Just awesome.....my favorite was the full out belly laugh toward the end!

  • @shelbyco5 Thanks for watching and I'm glad you enjoyed it. Good luck with you audition. Here's another idea. Play with patterns in your arena, then bridleless. When that is working, you can take your horse out to an open field and be confident in your bridleless riding. PS. My boy makes me laugh all the time. That laugh came from him dropping his head down and giving a big "we're done, right?" sigh.

  • Hi Jackie, I love your videos!!! This is the second time I watched the freestyle because I am about to do my L3 Freestyle with my Paso Tina. Did my OL and Liberty last week. Great inspiration!

    Anne Marie

  • @pamperedponytack Hi Anne Marie. I was wondering how your Freestyle audition went with Tina? Have you posted it yet? I'd love to see it.

  • Awesome!! I don't know why anyone wouldn't love natural horsemanship!

  • Hi Jackie,

I just went to your web site and watched your freestyle video. Really impressive!!!! I loved everything about it but mostly loved the incredible look in your horses eye. Really engaged and relaxed and calm!! Great job.

And one other thing is how uphill your horse was. Nice and open in the throat latch but not running on his forehand. He would put many dressage horses to shame and you weren't even using a bit!! Fantastic!!! Lyndsey

  • Thank you very much for ur comment! Gratulation for ur level 3 audition! Looks very good and your horse seems to enjoy it a lot!! =)

  • I've added some annotations about the tasks that Mystic and I are doing freestyle. Check them out by clicking on the Annotations Editor top right of the video.

  • Congratulations on your green string!

I hope to have one in the near future with my paso also! :-)

  • Thanks! Yours will come. I watched your videos. I admire your ability to communicate effectively at a distance while sitting under a tree. Well done!

  • Thank you!

  • Jackie YOU are such an inspiration! I have a little Paso Fino mare.......You have completely given me a dream and a vision to accomplish with my little mare! Hopefully, I'll be posting a video one day.

    Congratualtions!!!!

  • Thank you. You know you are doing Parelli when you play in all 4 savvies (on line, liberty, freestyle and finesse), you put the relationship with the horse first (help her understand, rather than make her do it) and you engage in lifelong self-improvement (how can I make my body language be more like the horse's natural movement?). Add in play in the 4 savvies in patterns and you get mental and emotional engagement from your horse and fun for you both. Looking forward to your video!

  • thanks Jackie, I love your videos as well!

  • great video, Jackie, fun to watch, gorgeous horse

  • Thanks for the compliment. I've subscribed to your channel and favorited a number of your videos. You do amazing things with your horses and are an inspiration.

  • THANK YOU JACKIE. I loved watching your u tube and it is nice to see a non stick figure doing it right LOL. I shared with my friends that say, but I can't do that. Yes you can. So thanks for sharing with all of us, and I enjoyed your laugh while I am guess your beautiful horse kept playing in the water on the tarp. cherie

  • Wow.. Lovely.. have you had any feedback about it yet from Parelli? I love Pasa Fino's.. now im thinking of that cool song that Mary Ann Kennedy wrote & sung about Paso Fino's.. Im sure you have heard of it.

  • Thanks. No word from Parelli on our freestyle audition, but we passed L3 Liberty and Online. I'm grateful to Parelli for their free audition. While it would be nice to pass L3, they gave me a list of things to focus on and a due date and that really helped us progress our communication and relationship. Mary Ann Kennedy's music brings tears to my eyes She captures much of what I love about nature and animals. I love my Pasos. Their gait is lovely, but their heart is special.

  • Jackie,

I just wanted to write to you to tell you how much I loved watching you and Mystic. It was beautiful. I can just feel the vibes between you two. I love your website as well. Seems like heaven! What I am trying to say is that I just absolutely loved your videos and your horse and the way you look as you ride him. I loved your laughter....Thank you for sharing!

  • Quite Amazing!

  • Glad that you enjoyed my Mystic son. The way that he syncs in to my energy, body language and seat make him a joy to ride. The way he communicates his doubts, confidence, relief and joie de vivre has won my heart and made him my friend and partner, not just a horse.

  • Standing ovation !

He could carry Gandolf, the wizzard, in Lord of the Rings.

  • Ahah! You did see the string around Shadowfax's neck in the Lord of the Rings?!! You can communicate suggestions with the string, but it is clearly an "ask" not a tell and when the horse responds as well as Mystic does to it, that is a gift. What joy!

  • Very nice partnership! Mystic looks like a unicorn. Well done!

  • Thank you! My Mystic son is a beautiful horse and he tries his heart out for me! You were an inspiration for us and we'll keep working at our relationship.

  • That was so wonderful to watch, Jackie! You both looked like you were having so much fun! Thanks for the inspiration!

  • We were having a lot of fun. Mystic is so expressive about his opinions. He radiates smug when he knows he is doing something well, lack of confidence while he is deciding if something is too scary, a huge sigh of relief when he has succeeded at something that worried him. His spirit makes my heart sing.

  • super!!
