Listen, Polanski didn't copyright the title "The Tenant" so therefore the use of that title for any other films does not constitute a copyright violation. That I am aware of, there are at least THREE films by different directors with that title. And as for your accusation of "intellectual property rights" Polanski himself based his 1976 film upon the 1964 novel "Le locataire chimérique" by Roland Topor.

If they knew anything about tenant by roman polanski, they would have realized this film looks NOTHING like it was made in 1976.

@wordpilphil -not even close with the "intellectual property" thing, nobody "owns" the idea of someone who may or may not be a killer.
The people who post clips of Polanski's "Tenant" are infringing THAT film's copyright, we have nothing to do with that, ours is an orginal story.
There are plenty of films and titles of songs that have the same name.
I'm sorry you are so heated about this, but thanks for checking out at least a minuite of our film!!!

@toninozzz1 I'm sorry that you were lookiing for Polanski's "Tenant". I don't see how we are exploiting that film, though, as this story has nothing to do with his film (which I have never seen), and we do not promote it as such. It just so happens that they share the same title, which is not unheard of in the film world.
Sorry that you didn't find what you were looking for.

How in the hell are they "exploiting" Polanski's masterpiece, since there are at least THREE different films by three different directors with three different plots with the same name? This happens sometimes; you see various films with identical names, same as sometimes you hear different songs with the same title. It's not like Polanski copyrighted the name "The Tenant" so it couldn't be used for any films released after his film in 1976.
