He won't ever be eligible for president because the government knows he's too much of a threat to "government control" over the people of the US. He promotes true freedom of the people, among other things, and the government sees that as a threat.

Actually, he could have been president if he had been allowed to participate in all of the debates. In order to do that he would have only needed 15% of the vote.
