@yate714 the country's too big. You can see celebrations like this one in individual states, just look up "Final Four Celebration" or "National Championship celebration." An American National team is either too dominant or just a non factor to cause national wide celebration. Social victories can spark such things. Look at the Obama election, the end of WWII or the death of Osama Bin Laden.
