I think Bumpy did a good job hiding the truth from his wife. She obviously loved him very much, that is why she could only speak of the good in her husband, there is plenty of evidence of his wrongdoings..As for Frank Lucas, she seems to have not liked him from the beginning so of course in her old age, she still didnt like him...not very creditable!!!
