  • ranking guitar players is pointless

  • An ordinary hot/sunny day out in the country side, wind is making crops move from one side to another. Then something unordinary happens an alien ship comes and start to draw circles on crops with lasers then all of a sudden it's gone...Then we're left with a mystery standing on our terrace, wind blowing in to chimes...But if you listen hard enough, we still can "feel" they are there...And finally all is gone...With our little pathetic existence.

  • @ertansaygi You are so weird??

  • @GsGuitar2 I'm quite sure they will say so...

  • hey satriani fans.....john 5 plays circles around this guy =D

obvious troll isn't lying to himself

  • absoloutly amazing !!!!

  • " I'll tell you one thing: I will always play the shit out of my guitar." (Joe, 1993)

  • Great to finally know who the artist is!...i was watching this on a trickshot video

  • Great guitar solo!! The guy creates a paradox in the fabric of the space time continuum every time he picks up a guitar. Pure genius.

  • This is beautiful...

  • hell yeah

  • wow!

    ç

  • générique de l'émission avec Évelyne pages sur rtl

condoléances à la famille de Mme Pages.

  • @matosdiogo12 4º JOE SATRIANI

this means JOE SATRIANI is more hot than those other guitarist?

    this isnt a troll:D

  • this is the probably the wrong place to post this so well sorry but

    1ºDimebag Darrell

    2ºBuckethead

    3ºYngwie Malmsteen

    4ºJOE SATRIANI

this is my list the places were given according to my personal taste because i dont think anyone can judge about who is best lol, so probably your list is different.

    Dont troll ;)

  • @matosdiogo12

    1: Jimi Hendrix

    2: Jimi Hendrix

    3: Jimi Hendrix

    4: Jimi Hendrix.

I'm not trolling but he is over there.

  • @matosdiogo12

buckethead isn't a musician, he's a guitarist. so the list is flawed to me, because guitarists should not be judged solely on their mechanical performance. If you disagree, then surely autotune is a human voice and drum machines are drum kits.

  • such an amazing guitar player his legato n phrasing are the best ever heard

plus i wish him and steve vai would do an album

  • love this song!!!!!

  • joe satriani, the on;y guitarist who can write a totally badass song.......about circles

  • Does anyone realize that this is Kirk Hammetts(Metallica) Teacher? Yesiree Buddy! I have listened to this since its release on August 7th, 1987 and have yet to buy an Instrumental CD where ALL the song are excellent! People would come up to me and ask who that extraordinary guitarist was. If you like this then you'll probably like Gary Hoey. Check out his stuff and you can thank me later.

  • this guy is a genius

  • i have to admit he kicks vai's ass what an amazing player

  • @GINGKING he taught steve vai lol

  • @kirbz01 i knew that yeah, but they vai is a different style to his master, and i don't prefer it and that's one of the constant guitar battles

  • he plays tat guitar so fast i can't figure out witch frets he's playing

  • The 2nd song from Joe Satriani I have listened to, first being Always With Me and Always With You. Joe, you are awesome. Filled me emotionally.

  • 5 people are assholes !!!

  • @Barbarijan not subtle... but true.

  • I simply love this song! could listen to it for hours...

  • @K1r0 Midnight is quite beautiful. Also, Baroque both by Joe.

  • cooooooooooooooooooooooooolllllllllllllllll

  • @ MagneticMetallica81

Joe is not made for guitar, he is made out OF guitar

  • @Manslaughterer lol..Agreed 100%

  • tuuuuurtttlee

  • yeh amazing fcukin tone man he rules still

  • Great song I am goin learn it,

  • 0:59 joe turns on his amp =D

  • Used to play this when I was younger, many years later, it was nice to pick up the guitar and learn it again. Midnight took awhile, but I got that down pat again too...awsome Joe.

  • i picked up a joe satriani book and tried to learn some of his songs.... whew!! i don't have a tremolo bar on my guitar do you think i can still pull any of his songs off?

  • @mattgonzales89 You can play a lot of them, tremolo arm or not.

  • @mattgonzales89 yeah? lol just dont do the squeels.. but ur missin out :D

  • Anybody know what the noise is at the start of this song? I've been trying to find out for weeks. How is it made? It sounds metalic

  • probably a computer

  • @funkrocksock Yeah I like that effect as well... I think it is a Wind Chime effect from a 80's Roland keyboard... It is used quite frequently in horror movies... If you discover it's real name let me know as well!

  • Vin Diesel is an awesome guitarist!

  • Bahaha... :P

  • lol

  • too bad vin diesel blows in all of his movies lol, i think joe satriani is a better guitarist, but thats just my opinion :P

  • awsome!!!!!!!!!

  • Holy FUCK....

  • mis respetos para el maestro satriani

  • After too many years of trying to be an rs, an angel's voice made it all worth it. JS remarkred, site unseen, "cool version of CIRCLES, acoustic" Thank You Joe. back room Guitar Ctr. Halsted. 07 ? ...See me someday..BIG LOVE TO YOU...........

  • this song depresses me idk why and it kinda sounds like a background song to a soap opera/lifetime movie and it kinda sounds like the police BUT IT IS AMAZING. listen to mmy music it kinda sounds like this song hahahahahhaha

  • 1988. Major Satriani freak my sophomore year of highschool. My buddies thought I was nuts. Listened to Surfing With the Alien constantly and sang along (as much as you can with a guitar solo). Circles was one of my favorites.

  • I always pictured a video for this song set in a western. Nice mysterious town and then at about 1:00 the good guys and the bad guys start shooting at each other. Then it's over and the town goes back to normal.

  • thats a good idea. haha

  • this music is so soothing...!

  • Hows that? It sounds very different to me.

  • Lol thx >__>

  • very nice song =]

  • lol love the song and the way that it calms you in the beggining, AND THEN THE DRUMS GIVE YOU A ROUNDHOUSE KICK TO THE FUCKING FACE, sending you on a hellish joyride. Leaving you at Satriana's powerful mercy!! >:D

  • Satriani.

    close enough... XD

  • wow...poetic ;)

  • My fave Satch song - such range!

  • Comment removed

  • that first note of the solo is insane. It must be hard to get that sound exactly right because he never does it on the live versions. Some combo of bending and using the wah probably...

  • actually its really easy but I dont understand why he never play it like it is.... even i can do it and believe me, im not really a huge guitarrist

  • if you see the G3 in denver he does that "tric" quite a lot...

he does the harmonic with right hand and holds the tremolo bar with left hand.

in here i think it's the same but with some sound FX :)

  • I love it when he plays live and he puts on that face when he gets into it. Like a musical religious experience...

  • The greatest guitarist, Joe Satriani.

  • satch taught alot of amazing player eg kirk hammet, steve vai thats how satch started off his career in music as a guitar teacher trust me im doing a music presentation on satriani so ive done my research lol

  • The intro is the best thought out riff in the world...... Joe is simply made for guitar

  • Intro sounds like the music to the Rareware logo on Jet Force Gemini

  • this song is awesome on satriani live they just jam out, but the studio is still awesome

so so smooth and brilliant satch = 5*

  • 01:43 a Guitar Orgasm

  • where can we go to worship this dude! keep on rocking!!!

  • An all-time Satriani favourite- what a cool tune!

  • kinda sounds like kirk hammett at 1:04 - 1:40

  • no its nothing like kirk hammett........for one thing theres pretty much NO wah at all....

  • Most of my favorite mettallica songs have no wah. But yeah this sounds nothing like kirk hamett.

Well mabye kind of similar to fade to black

  • sounds nufin like kirk hammet... if u play guitar u should know tha style is nufin lyk kirk hammet... are u just fukin wierdo???

  • no you mean kirk hammet sounds like him

  • well Satriani did teach Kirk Hammett how to play....and Steve Vai... The Satch is the master!!!!!

  • ya he is :D

  • erm... No he didn't... Satriani taught Vai, its well documented...I have a Satriani DVD and he talks about it.... Steve Vai turned up at Joe house one day with a guitar and a pack of strings.. Vai had no idea about putting guitar strings on a guitar then..... :)

  • gave kirk lessons but didn't learn him how to play

  • he gave Kirk lessons but didn't teach him how to play... how does that work??? You're saying Kirk learned nothing fron the Satch??? I doubt that very much....

  • He didn't teach him from scratch how to play but gave him some lessons while he allready knew how to play guitar. Calm down, Satch is the man anyway

  • and I don't get you, "No he didn't... Satriani taught Vai, its well documented." and "You're saying Kirk learned nothing fron the Satch???" What the hell dude?

  • No you misunderstand, someone else said that Satch didn't teach Kirk guitar, I think that is wrong. Sure Kirk could "play" guitar already but in my opinion Satch really gave Kirk his chops and drive to be what he became.... ;) And yes Satch did teach Vai there are plenty of evidence to this as both Satch and Vai have pointed this out in various interviews on video and in the press... any clearer????

  • haha idiot

  • I think you misread my comment, somebody else said that Satch gave Kirk lessons but didn't teach him how to play.. You will see in the comment that I ask how does that work???.... Surely if you are taking lessons on any subject you are learning how to master what the subject is about right!!?? I'm not an idiot and think my comment was very valid.....

  • Oh right then. Well we don't know what satch taught kirk might have been just a tapping technique you know what I mean ? Anyways Satch is the master and anyone who took lessons from him are guitar icons today and I didn't call you an idiot

  • haha its cool dude. You are right Satch is so great.. I wish I could do 5% of what he does.... :)

  • kirk knew the basics and was improving his technique (i assume)

  • Kirk took theory lessons with Satriani. Pitch Axis was a particular concept covered. I think Satriani discussed this in Guitar Techniques a couple of years back.

  • satch also said that he thought kirk never really took his lessons very seriously. he said the only people to ever "graduate" from his teaching class was vai, and one other dude who apparently did the guitar parts for guitar hero or something.

  • ¡satriani,satriani,satriani,satriani.............!

  • Aliens don't have hair, he just stopped wearing the wig.

  • How'd Satch lose his hair?

  • From what I understand, he was balding anyway so he had the whole of it taken off.

  • Wonderful ! (inlove)

  • He's awsome, but try out stefan joubert.. you can find him on my channel :)

  • ur only telling us that because your from Europe and Joe is from the USA

    USA

  • I didnt ment to give him a -1... It's one of my favorite songs.. yes you are absolutly rigth us from Europe simply hate everyting from USA USA!!. I will travel to USA in my great viking ship and rob your towns.. Aaaargh

  • ill join you!! lets rob em for everything they own!! i got a great battle axe, at home by my comp... lets just hope the dont got any firearms over there.. ^^

  • U should seek professional help from a psychiatrist

  • omg

y'all have never heard about sarkasm or ironie do you? jeeeeeeeez

  • Hahhahahahahah, the irony here is that it seems u haven't.

  • Does the word ironi ring any bells

  • "Ironi"? Uh...Nope.

  • I think he meant irony......not totally sure

  • jeez u're stupid

  • you're really getting in to this huh.. dont call people stupid just because they have some fun.. perhaps you shoudnt write to me.. that would be very nice thanks! Sorry if I provoked you somehow, but that american guy really sounded mad and I coundt take him serious. He thinks europeans doesent like joe because he's from U.S come on?? He is the best I think dont you agree?

  • Sure, Joe is best, and really this is an misunderstanding

  • stach master (he's alien)

  • If one of Satch's alien abilities was the power to change his gender, I would request that he turn female and then ask for his hand in marriage. Because that's how awesome his songs are (unfortunately, he only has alien guitar skills, but that's good enough for everyone, I'd say).

  • right.

  • i just love 1.03

  • satriani + custom ibanez = chuck norris

  • Takes me away this song

  • simply amazing... one of my favorite songs.

  • surfing with the aliens album is just the best guitar solo album ever released.

  • Completly agree with that !

Joe is just amazing, and seeing him live only strenghten that feeling.

Even tho his lastest albums aren t as good as the old ones (in my opinion ofc), he remains one of the most (if not the most) talented guitarists.

  • Can't get better than Satch!

    10/10. I'm in love :P

  • one of my favorite song.

    Awesome.

  • best guitar song ever

  • satch boogie?

  • Satch Boogie's a good jam, but this song is just so... good... It's one of his most emotive pieces ever, at least to me. That clean riff just gives me chills.

  • amazin'

  • this song its so good i REALLY LOVE IT!!!

  • amazing !

  • how wicked is the break down into the shredding from the picking

    epic shit

  • about what?

  • i'm not sure?

  • im not sure either? dudes lost it

  • Strange question but does anyone know if that sound effect at the very start has a name? I've been wanting to know this for ages. It's used alot in horror films.

  • Joe Satriani is and has been my favorite for years! Keep those vids of Joe flowin.

  • he got good music, but he is a weird man.. :/

  • yeah, bbut ssometimes tthats wwhat iit ttakes tto ccreate ssomething ddifferent.

  • yeah,you're probably right..
