@gammacurve Like "The Power of Community" about Cuba's Special Period and how they overcome oil shortages by localising. I'm sick of conspiracy documentaries and ones that just focus on problems but without solutions of exaggerating situations and providing false statistics.
10% of our plastic - over 10 BILLION tons a year - ends up in our oceans. Please people: reduce, reuse, recycle!! Be aware and consider your consumption :)
Really really good documentary! It shows problems and possibilities of plastic as a resource for goods and work. And it's positive about enviromental solutions worldwide.
you dumb asses just believe anything on tv or movies and don't research any of this shit you believe in pretty pathetic just keep doing what ever the government tells you like like goddamn robots your programed.
180sx it's not really worth taking the time to answer you but it would be worth your while to know what you are talking about before you say things that show how uninformed and ignorant you are. I suggest watching the whole film, it's very informative and unbiased and helps bring to attention just how big this issue is. The solution is education we will only have people talking like 180sx as long as people are ignorant of what's really happening. Fortunaltely many people are tackling the issue.

anything but lets wast gas and oil that where fighting wars for be wasted on recycling garbage there's a good fucking hippie idea. when did all these hippies get into making world decisions is fucking ludacris this new GREEN bullshit is the biggest load of shit ever made up but hell at lest the hippies believe it seems like there at lest 1/2 the fucking world now anyways.
I cant beleive with these comments you are 25 yrs old, man you sound like a conservative 60yr old or a young liberal (australian reference). Also its not the 60s no more, what hippies. I agree that we should look after those in disadvantaged situations, but whats that got to do with recylcing or not recycling. Also this doco is about biodegradable plastic not recycling, I thought Canada was a bit more progressive than your views.
Not everyone in Canada agrees with l80sx and I will thank you not put the rest of us Canadians in the same basket.
When I read stupid comments from stupid Canadians like I80sx, I know that they are reason Canada is still considered backwards and unsophisticated.... Anyway, my point is that not all Canadains think the same as I80sx. Peace.
sorry annabodhi38, i didnt mean to generalise, and I definitely wont rate canada based on 180`s views, I guess I shouldve put it differently. peace to you too.

see that's the thing with hippies they don't even look into or think about what they do some one says that recycling is how to save the world then there going to do it fuck the cost let the starving kids and poor people die as long as there is no garbage in there perfect little pot smoking hippie world. fuck recycling just put it in the dump its worked fine for how long its not like were running out of land or
Yea I use more energy to get up off the couch and put my rubbish in the bin in the kitchen, when in fact I could just drop it on the floor at my feet, so why dont I do that? Because very soon Ill be living in my on filth and then in the long run I will have to expend more energy to fix that mess.
If it cost more money to stop fucking up the earth, then it is worth while. That is the same old argument for everything, its not about money, it is about responsibility.
Plastic is OK as long as it's not single use and is recycled when no longer useful. Do you want cardboard suitcases and metal lunchboxes?
