i would like to see the handle with an oval grip or a bulging in the middle. i suppose its already kind of oval but i think it may want to turn in your hand when you swing
but its nice to see well crafted objects unlike most of the cold steel crap on youtube
To the people saying this is not a falchion, I recommend you buy a book on blades and read it. An Oakeshott or similar historian of weaponry one, not some pop-up book for children. 13th century falchions could be extremely varied also...check the Del Tin website. Some look almost like modern machetes.
actually i agree it is well made but it does look like a scimitar or a bit like a cutlass...a falchion has a straighter edge...good work anyways though!!!
hhmmm i think that is a german grossermesser
