Hmm... I had a JackRussel Terrier too ^^

But mine has the ears down .. and not up.. there are 3 kinds of this Terriers ... ^

1. Jack Russel Terrier

2. Parson Russel Terrier

3. Rat Terrier

They look all pretty much the same but the Jack has the ears down the Rat (like yours) up and the Parson has more hair bt also ears down...

A Jack Russell and a Parson Russell are the same dog, the only reason they have been seperated is all to do with the Jack Russell Club of Canada. The rat terrier is a completly different breed, one that is older, but was used by Parson Jack Russell in England to start the Jack Russell breed.

JRTS are my all time favourites. Just the character compared to most dogs, they are so full of life, and of love. I have 2 (three-quarter) JRTs. The missing quarter is that their father (was the same dog)was a JRt x Papillon. They are sooo funny and really opposite in character. One hates other dogs and is laid back and friendly(1 year old boy). And the other, (a little 20 week old little boy)loves other dogs, is crazy and loves people but ALWAYS just tried to play, with everything and everyone.

my jrt would of jumped off the couch and tryed to scare me into giving him the toy. they have such strong personalities; if you let my dog off-leash (which isn't a good idea for any jrt) into a large feild then he'll just sprint to the other side, take about ten minutes peeing on everything and then come straight back as fast as he can. but if your sitting around at home, he'll jump onto your lap, roll over and wait for a belly rub.
