Certainly, you're correct in most of your assertions, as anyone who's read George Orwell's, "Politics and the English Language" or even "1984," can vouch for the fact that the minimizing of one's vocabulary threatens the ability to think ,articulate, or express one's thoughts -- and if this were a democracy your premise would be solid.
Also, you're denying the value of these so-called "narcissistic" sites like Facebook & Twitter, which were extremely useful during the Green Revolution in Iran's last election.
It's slightly funny that you're arguing about how words are necessary to strengthening democracy, but you seem to be confused in the definition of democracy, since the U.S. is actually a republic and not a democracy.
