Beautiful Job! Is that the highest keyed Flute in you collection? I am thinking of getting a high E key too, especially after hearing you nice playing!!!
Thanks for the great comment/compliment! Actually, this isn't the highest-keyed flute in my collection. I have both a high G and a high A. The latter is the High Spirits "Pocket Flute". It sounds really sweet!
Thank you for the Music! Yeah I reckon Odell Borg makes some really nice sounding Flutes, for very reasonable prices! Wow,those are some super High Keys you are talking about.Hmmm,I guess perhaps I should get a Flute or two from Him! Cheers!
Well, I find that the High Spirits Kestrel flutes (high D, E, F#) will all play smoothly and evenly in the upper octave, so it really isn't anything that I'M doing, per se. Is your D double flute a High Spirits Kestrel drone, or is it a lower octave D? Below mid-G, most Native American-style flutes typically don't play very accurately in the upper octave. The flute in this video is a Kestrel E, btw. Thanks for listening!
Right ON I dig it!!!
