But anyway whats clark on about? Wasn't he there when davis got killed last time? Did he try to stop that? NO. I wish they wouldn't keep changing the characters personalities every 5 seconds.
If Chloe is going to die it won't be until near the very end of the series, trust me the writers and producers know that their ratings would die if they killed her off now. Seeing as how they have season 9 to finish i seriously doubt she's going to die.

I'ts not writers' choice to remove Chloe from show . Allison Mack has been in Smallville for 8 years and she's probably sick of it and doesn't want to sing in season 9 .
After Season 7 ended, she signed for two more seasons. Like you said, it's up to the writers if they want to have back next season or not. If not, she can go on and do whatever other projects interest her.
Of course it's the writers' choice to remove a person from the show, they get the characters on contract and then they decide if they want them gone or not. Allison Mack (Chloe) has already signed on for another season, she isn't the one dying.
Being signed for another season means nothing in that regard. All it means is that she can't schedule any projects ahead of time that could conflict with Smallville. John Glover was signed for Season 8 and they didn't bring him back. So, they can kill Chloe off if they really wanted to.
I'm not saying they CAN'T kill her off, I'm saying that they won't because their ratings are so bad that they can't afford to lose the best actor currently on the show; Allison Mack. If Chloe died now i guarantee you would see a huge spike in Smallville viewers.
They wouldn't take a hit in ratings. People would still be watching and it would remain CW's highest viewed scripted show. Lex and Lana left and people said the show would take a huge hit. Chloe's death wouldn't hurt the ratings.
Lex and Lionel leaving the show did result in the show taking a hit. As far as i know, people were praying for Lana to die or leave somehow. Ever notice how Lana was always absent from the best episodes, or at least didn't play a major role?

Sure, some people would stop watching, but most would continue on. And there are those who don't even watch it on TV at all. It's #6 on the top 10 most illegally downloaded shows.
