I don't think that Hamilton is the best driver. Hamilton was defeated Rosberg in the GP2 Championship. And in F1-Championship he always had better possibilities (McLaren-Mercedes) than Rosberg (Williams).
But Nico Rosberg has a good motor-engine now. We'll see who's gonna be the champ 2010. There's no doubt, that Vettel is the best driver! ;)
Rosberg won 2005 Gp2 championship,Hamilton the 2006 championship...they never raced against each other in that category...However,If Vettel was the best driver he would have won the 2009 championship against Button,wouldn't he?
Vettel would have won the 2009 championship, if RedBull hadn't missed the points of the early races in 2009. And hey, the Mercedes-engines are better than engines of Renault. And Race of Champions 2009 showed what happens, if Vettel and Button competed with the same vehicle.

1)Because we have the best driver Lewis Hamilton who will take his Mclaren to the top of the world
2)Because Mclaren has very good technical and economic resources (and Mercedes engine)
3)At the moment Mercedes GP doesn't have a driver who could fight against Alonso and Hamilton.
