Gosh.I've had this record on MGM for over 20 years. In a funny kind of way, I always thought the Velours were a New York, blue eyed soul outfit...only because they sounded similar to the Four Seasons. Was anyone else shocked by this fantastic revelation or should I grab my coat now?
I wasn't shocked at all because I have tons of Velours music. You should check out some of their 50's recordings.. They were a heavy R&B outfit. The reason why this one song had a Four Seasons sound is that I'm Gonna Change originally was done by The Four Seasons as an LP track
Has anybody els who loves northern soul noticed that you think you have found your favourite track, only to find a song like this appears from nowhere. I have a list of favourits a mile long now,and it will keep getting bigger and bigger, untill there are no more releases (ASIF).KEEP THE FAITH SOUL BROTHERS AND SOUL SISTERS.
Yes it was on there, but every video I have posted here on YouTube has been re-edited and they are now drastically different to the versions we put on The Strange World set.

Is my mind playing tricks on me, or did this video not make it to the Stange World set in the end? Haven't seen it for ages to be honest :-/

I think their best releases were actually from their doo-wop days:
"Can I Come Over Tonight" and "This Could be the Night"
