What rescue? The boats are at the South Street Seaport and are used for tours, small cruises and other kinds of entertainment. The plane crashed into a building....so no boats were used to rescue the dead from burning building rubbish which was on land.

Where did the plane crash? Were either of those old boats involved in the rescue?

@Alfrunk The plane ditched in the Hudson river, this is in the East river on the other side of Manhattan.
