  • Hi. It doe snot have to be a tar roof, but even if you see gravel on your flat roof, be assured that below it there is certainly a waterproofing membrane of some type.

    So, what you need is a well waterproofed roof on which you can lay your stuff in such a way that you do not damage the waterproofing. If your roof is slanted, it will be way more difficult...depending of course on the slope.

    Why does it have to be a tar roof?

    What are the risks if it is a different roof type? aka stones, gravel, or that tile type of material like the slanted rooves?
