Come on Northern Pikes ... pull yourselves back together and get back out there.
The young people of today need your music so very badly to be rescued from the sludge that they are forced to listen to because of the industrialized and disposable nature of the music made today.
Your music is timeless, because the stuff you sing about is experienced by every generation of people. That people remember your music here on YouTube so fondly should convince you that you'll have a following.
The song is great, which goes without saying. The long blond-dyed and permed hair is terrible though. I'm glad I resisted the temptations of hair-styles of that age. :)
Jay's insightful lyrics and Bryan's awesome guitar riffs, combined with their unique and perfect harmonies make this one of my all time favorite mainstream rock songs. Never got the respect or sales they deserved.
Faved. Potent song.... powerful lyrics. Not romantic, but real life... love is about waiting after all. Killer guitars, tightest band, Canada's well-kept secret still to be unleashed to the world. Lucky us.
I am so glad this video is finally on here. Have been a fan of the pikes since I was a child, and see them every time they come into town. Have met them, they are great guys and can't wait to see them again.
This song is great. Secret of the alibi rules. Wish they had a video for walk away too.

I have fond, fond memories of this band growing up. Any chance anyone can upload their video "One good Reason"?

Thanks for posting, one of the best songs The Pikes every recorded, it brings back many memories of a mis-spent youth ;-)

This song puts a lump in my throat as I think back to when I was in high school, still trying to find myself and find companionship too.
Promises made in youth, turn out to be impossible to keep as time wears on.
A beautiful and reflective and bittersweet song.

Saw this live and have always loved it. What a great song. The guitar riff at the start and finish is choice Canadian rock'n'roll.

Love this song. Reminds me of ping pong in the basement of Bay Rd.
